HOHO good and so was the ZOO. did not have sufficient rime to visit the aquarium.. was disappointed in that

I purchased tour tickets for three adults on the premise that I could use them on Christmas Day. I verified that three attractions of interest were open that day. The website did not imply that there would be no Hop-on Hop-off service that day. Unfortunately, I failed to validate the tickets before Christmas Day - my fault. Since the Office at Federation Square was closed, we were out of luck. We took the free tram service to the nearest Hop-on Hop-off stop, which was supposed to be operating, however, none showed up at the scheduled times. It was a beastly hot day to be walking around Melbourne looking for a bus. We wound up going to the SkyDeck and Aquarium on our own dime.
Fortunately, Viator gave us a full refund, much to your credit, so I consider everything square, and Viator is an honorable business.

Very handy and easy to use. more convenient than cash and good discounts!

My partner and I travelled to Melbourne last week for the first time, and decided to purchase this sightseeing and attraction pass as we thought it would have been the best way to experience Melbourne and enjoy our holiday. However, we were wrong and utterly disappointed with this pass and in Viator.
We encountered problems with the pass right from the beginning. Nobody at any of the attractions we went to have seen or even heard of the pass we had purchased. They refused to let us in. At every attraction, they asked where our proper tickets were. We had printed out the tickets that were e-mailed to us, and on the tickets it clearly stated that they were our passes to get into the attractions. We were directed to go to many travel agents to exchange these paper tickets for real tickets and we wasted so much time walking around for nothing, as the travel agents had nothing to do with the pass we had purchased.
Due to this lack of organisation between Viator and the attractions, we only visited 4 attractions and did not get the most out of our pass, despite paying 220 for it. We are extremely, extremely disappointed.
And a few of the attractions had been closed down already! But Viator has failed to update their attraction list. This is false advertisement. It is not right to present a list of 35 attractions when not all of the attractions are available to pass holders.
I sincerely hope Viator takes this complaint seriously and make efforts to target these problems so that future visitors do not encounter the same problems as we did.

Everything was great! Easy to find snd get help, tour operators happy to use card, highly recommended

Well worth the price. It pays for itself after only a few admissions to the attractions. The one complaint I have is that there is no transportation to the Phillip Island Nature 3 Parks Pass attraction. So unless you have a international license and rent a car, it is nearly impossible to go even working through the information center. One of the best attractions for your money is the hop-on/hop-off bus because it brings you around the city and to all the attractions you get admissions to with your pass. Note you are not able to every attraction on your pass so pick the the activities that are the most important first.

The pass was worth the money. It was very convenience as every time me and my family went to the attractions we don't have to queue to purchase the tickets! We just need to go to the entrance queue every time. The support service was extremely nice. I got many tips from the crew during taking the pass card at the Melbourne Service Center. The gentlemen that served me, he was very informative, helpful and well polite! The tips that was given might be more useful than what I had find in Internet. All the attractions that we have visited were within or beyond our expectations.

This was a fantastic way to see Melbourne's highlights. It was great value for money-we saved over $100 each by buying a 3 day pass. We visited a variety of attractions including the zoo, aquarium, Chill Bar, Eureka Tower and Captain Cook's cottage. We also went on a half day city bus tour and a boat trip down the Yarra River. The bus and boat trips helped us identify other areas we wanted to see.We didn't have to queue to get into events as our tickets were prepaid.I would definitely recommend the sightseeing and attraction pass.

I am not happy with I venture. I bought the pass for Melbourne and they changed it to Sydney on their system and decided that I am now a mr instead of miss. Not happy. Otherwise the card was good
Skie S, Aug 2013
We did only a handful of the activities on the list but got good value for money. I don't think these would be good value for 2 days, so the special of pay for 2, get 3 days was fantastic. Make sure you plan your trip accordingly to maximise the value. We were able to pick the pass up easily and there were no problems aside from a minor issue which was quickly resolved with a phone call to viator.

Value for money with the flexibility of several different options. Saves on entrance fees to a range of popular and worthwhile attractions.
Yanan Y, Jul 2013
It offers a large range of attractions to go. However, sometimes it is quite hard to find the place to use it.
Joanne_T, Mar 2013
A very easy way to see the sights without constantly putting your hand in your pocket. We bought the 3 month/5 attraction pass and it was very convenient. Would highly recommend.
loug, Feb 2013
should have only got the 5 attractions pass. did not use full value. attractions we visited were great but spread out and each we spent a lot of time.
Bambo, Jan 2012
Do not purchase this pass if you are relying one public transportation. The attractions I was interested in were too far away and would take an entire day to get there if not entirely impsossible.
Bad pass all too together not too manyz good things in it.
Jennants, Nov 2011
We've signed up for the 3-day pass (without transport) and although it's albeit short, we managed to fully utilize the first 2 days when we kept to those attractions within the citi limits which most of which were within walking or tram routes. However, going to Philip Island for main purpose of the Penguin Parade was a disappointment when we had to rely on pulic transport which have rigid timeless and for those not planning to stay overnight, you would probably have to give the penguins a miss since the last VLINE couch out of there was well before the penguins hit land. We had to settle for the Koala Sanctuary which was miles away via taxi from the bus drop-off point. Churchill Island was also further still and also without direct connection with public transport except via taxi. Basically, to benefit fully, I would recommend staying with attractions within the citi limits, unless you have a rental with GPS if you want to go for those in the outer suburbs. Other then that, it is still value for money.
Danilo V, Sep 2011
Somehow it helps you decide on what attractions you would like to visit when you have a first hand information before you travel.
Denise S, Aug 2011
I found the girl at the office we colleted our cards from was not helpful at all in letting us know how to use our cards. I must complement the staff at the Aquarium , zoo and the MCG they could not have been more helpful and nothing was an issue for them . However when we went to the Eureka Skydeck the young lady there made it very clear that having to process four cards was very inconvenient to her, we would have simply requested our cards back and left that venue. Unfortunaltey we where unable to use our last pass due to illness. In summation the pass was handy to use and we only had a couple of issues with one venue . We will not return to that venue on any further visits.
Roseann D, Feb 2011
fantastic pass. Got the 5 in 1 because of the 3 month expiry date. Have just moved from NZ to Melbourne and it gives my partner and I to "see the sights" every weekend or so.
Anonymous, Jan 2011
The 5 day sightseeing pass is the best value for adults - not children.
Also, could have more sightseeing options included like Ice Lounge, Luna Park The bus tours are also not good value for children as they get too bored on the trip
Bharath P, Jan 2011
Really good deal. But you should know how to make full use of all the freebies... lot of planning required...
Pat F, Sep 2010
This pass is excellent value for money! It has all the major Melbourne attractions including the Aqaurium, MCG, Eureka Skydeck and all the museums and zoos. I saved heaps of money on entry fees and it was so easy to use.
I recommend you buy one when going to Melbourne.
Edward B, Aug 2010
We got the buy 2 days, get 3 days deal and it was a terrific value. We explored museums that we may not have ordinarily and the bus trip was a great addition. The 3 days of tram passes were worth it as well. Redeeming the pass for admissions was quick and easy. We would definately do this again!
Suege W, Dec 2009
I wouldn't recommend this Melbourne card at all for someone who would use public transportation. Many places are located in suburbs, which can be reached only by private car. It's very difficult to go by public transport.
David R, Nov 2009
The best idea ever guys! We will be back in 2010 and will be using the smart card again. Cheers!
Tuyen N, Aug 2009
Melbourne is a great city to visit and with this card, you can see a lot but for a lot less. You'll get more value if you purchase the card and pick it up at least a day earlier so you can plan your activities. The pick up point is very convenient also since there's a free tourist bus that departs from 9 or 9.30am.
Kinga K, Jul 2009
Due to low season some of the activities were not available. Moreover some information provided in the guide were not up-to-data. I would not recommended.
Viviana S, Mar 2009
Great value. You can see everything you want in the Melbourne area with this card, and you don't have to worry about how much are you're spending. Easy and fast.
Jan C, Oct 2008
Used it more than I thought possible, would definitely recommend.
Stuart M, Oct 2008
We just loved the convenience of not having to carry a lot of cash but still able to do things with the kids. As it is all pre-paid you then knew exactly how much you could spend on other things.
