Convenient location and a guide who looked not for our safety crossing streets etc.. Not a lot of info along the ride but great stops and dynamic views. There was just us and the guide so the pace was nice.

The program itself was quite unorganized sadly. The pickup time they mentioned didnt meet reality sadly, the duration of the trip also didnt reach the promised 2 hours. They put us in a buggy under the burning sun, behind other buggies with running engine, inhaling that horrible toxic gas for over 15 minutes before the tour started. In the description they dont mention that you need to pay the park entrance fee again, what was already included in the program price. 12 solis per person. At this check point you again need to under the burning sun for 10-15 minutes until every person of the group pays the fee. There should be a 5 meter safety distance between each buggies normally, but noone kept this rule, we got hit from the back several times, on of the buggies almost crashed 2 cars on the road as well. The seatbelt on our buggy didnt work at all sadly. The maintainance of the buggies are bad sadly.

Dear Gergo,
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments, though I must admit your review reads more like a dramatic story than an accurate account.
To clarify, the tour you booked was a shared group service, not a private one. We operate numerous pick-ups each morning, and collecting guests from various hotels can take a few minutes — in your case, the delay was merely three minutes. Hardly what one would call “unorganised.”
Regarding the tour duration, the experience does indeed cover approximately two hours, including transfer time to and from the reserve. As for the heat, Paracas is located in the desert — the high temperature and sun exposure are part of the natural environment, not something we can control.
The entrance fee to the reserve is clearly mentioned in the inclusion and exclusion section of the tour description. It appears you simply did not read it carefully.
Because this is a group tour, vehicles must follow a fixed route in convoy. Naturally, this means some dust — which is precisely why we advise all guests to bring a bandana or face covering. Your complaint about this seems rather selective for your own convenience.
As for the alleged “collisions” and “near crashes,” this claim is entirely exaggerated and taken out of context. The route briefly crosses a public road, as is standard practice, and all our drivers are trained and follow strict safety procedures.
Of the 120 passengers we operated that day, you were the only one to complain. While we strive to please every traveller, it is clear that no company can satisfy everyone — especially those expecting a private experience within a shared tour.
For future reference, we recommend booking private excursions if you prefer complete exclusivity and control over timing, heat, and dust levels.
Kind regards,

We had a great time cruising through the reserve. Our guide was friendly and informative. We had fun and would recommend this to see some of the beautiful coastlines in Paracas.

We got to place and we’re set with 3 buggies. 2ppl per buggy. Within a block first buggy broke down. Was replaced. We went on. And when we got to park another buggy could kot go full speed. They tried fixing it many times. Too many times in my opinion. We wasted half hour of tour before they sent for a replacement. Equipment was not what it should have been. Guide was good. I know he felt bad.

Very fun experiences. Drivers were super nice. The value of this tour is worth it. Lots of tourists come to visit. Would suggest to get a taxi or driver to get to this location

Great ride around the Paracas Reserve, with beautiful beaches and sunset. We had plenty of time to take pictures in different spots also to ride off-road. Surely there's no better way to visit the expansive reserve!

This trip is not worthwhile. Contacted tour provider night before to confirm pickup, no response. The day of booking I attempted calling them to no avail. Eventually got in contact via WhatsApp, 15mins past tour start time. Agreed tour would start 1hr past initial start time. Got picked up 1hr 15mins past the initial booking.
When tour took place we literally stopped at 3 viewpoints in Paracas Reserve. Tour completed after 1hr 20min rather than the scheduled 2hrs.
You would be better to hire a car for the day and you could explore Paracas reserve at your leisure.

We had a great time. It was easy to book the trip, everyone was pleasant, everything was on time. - March 2022, as travel and tourism was coming back after Covid.

We loved this tour, and Ramon our tour guide was hilarious not to mention a blast to spend the afternoon with! Definitely make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen for this excursion. It is in the heart of deep desert, but surrounded by epic beaches and scenery. Additionally make sure to wear googles and to cover your body with pants and some sort of longer shirt as there is lots of small rocks and the salt playas. You will certainly appreciate eye wear to protect you from both of those as well as the intense sun.
You have the chance to go to a beach for about fifteen minutes which was a nice touch. My partner and I truly enjoyed the cool water break from the hot sun. We scheduled our tour for 1pm due to our bus schedule but I would highly recommend the earlier tour or the tour at 3pm instead to avoid the intense heat. Luckily, even with the heat, the water and buggy provide tons of cooling air along the tour.
Our guide walked the beach separately from us, but came back with many sea shells and cool rocks for us to enjoy. He also was just an inviting and lovely person to meet. He showed us how there is endless salt crystals under the surface of the dirt there. Really cool to see and enjoy!! He also happily took photos of us, and shared some of his experiences in Paracas.
Overall the guides make it easy to meet up through using WhatsApp. They are beyond hospitable and really value their tourists here. Paracas is definitely less traveled area, but everyone in the community is mindful of tourist safety and comfort. I would happily come back to this area again!

We booked this tour to experience driving the mini-buggy around Paracas and see the views and it was amazing!
Was overall pleased with the experience itself, but we was not pleased with the service of the tour guides. I requested an english tour guide and did not get an english speaking tour guide. No tour guide gave us any information/knowledge about Paracas so we didn't really get to learn much.
We got picked up at the Double-tree hotel and brought to the buggy where we then drove the buggy to the reserve to meet up with the other people at the first stop. It was nice, but our tour guide left us and we were told to wait an extra 15mins to join another tour.
One of the tour guide's ATV's broke down so we were stopped in the middle of the route for a while. Our buggy turned off a few times and had to be jumped started with the wires.
When we ended the tour and was brought back to where we picked up the mini-buggy, no one was there to take us back to the hotel where we was picked up at. we had to flag down a motor-taxi that didn't want to take us that far.

Joel and his team are awesome! The dunes buggy ride was amazing and should not be missed. So much fun!

The buggy ride and guide were great. Two things cause me to give less than a 5 star review. First, the guide was a very nice person but he did not speak any English. Second, when we were dropped off at the office after our tour there was no one at the office to arrange our return ride to the hotel.

Great afternoon on the National Reserve with Manuel! We had a terrific time on our dune buggies exploring the reserve and watching the sunset! Manuel gave us plenty of details and it was an added bonus that he is a Geologist. We loved all the details of the land formations and fossils. Would highly recommend !!

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Consigliato vivamente.
