Dewa, Freddy, and the whole crew worked so hard to make this tour unforgettable. In wildlife tourism, it’s important to be realistic with your expectations and accept all outcomes. We were lucky enough to see orangutans at all 3 camps, despite the 3rd camp not having orangutans come to feeding in almost 2 weeks before we got there. Along the way we saw many proboscis monkeys, macaques, and some langurs. The first night involved some night trekking with a local ranger who also put a lot of effort into trying to find animals to show us, but we were mostly able to find ants, scorpions, and a spider and a frog. The whole crew was always on the lookout for animals while cruising down the river, which is how we were able to spot a lot of wildlife including some more elusive animals like a crocodile. The sun and humidity along the river are quite intense, there is a fan on board and the crew made sure we always had plenty of water. It rained late one night while we slept and we woke up to a lot of our stuff being damp - it would be recommended to bring silica packets to protect any electronics you bring just in case. Our main guide, Dewa was the best. He is a photographer himself and it was so much fun to talk about cameras with him, he even took some great shots of us throughout the trip! He had so many stories to share, was extremely knowledgeable and had a great attitude. He really made us smile and laugh along our journey.
While we booked this your mainly for the wildlife, it was the effort of Dewa, Freddy and the rest of the crew that made this experience truly exceptional.
We will never forget this experience and we owe it all to our crew and the nature around us.
I would like to point out that despite giving viator notice of our gluten allergy when booking, this information did not get passed on to our guide before our departure. They did their best adapting on short notice but I would highly recommend asking the trip organizer for your guides WhatsApp as soon as possible to get things like this communicated better.

This trip is awesome. The guide was great, the food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We travelled on a standard klotok. Amenities were rudimentary but adequate...what we expected. There is quite a bit of downtime between activities. Take a good book and don't forget a fan.

We have now been to some cool places, but I think this might be the best ever. We saw orangutan, of course, but also probiscus monkeys, a monitor lizard stealing from a fish net, snakes and crocodiles swimming in front of the boat, a tarantula, hornbills, and I'm probably forgetting some! The boat was very comfortable, and our guide was fantastic. We definitely recommend this trip!
