We really enjoyed our tour with Maria today who was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. I would really recommend this tour to others. Maria is an independent guide with her own tour business, so you get a very personal and local experience. The route and stops were well thought out. We visited a couple of different monasteries which were interesting and peaceful. We expected large crowds of tourists but Maria had made sure we were early enough to avoid them. Most of the time, we were the only group at the location! It meant we could really relax and enjoy seeing each stop. She also took us to some lesser known places which we enjoyed, again away from the crowds. We had a lovely lunch stop and Maria’s local knowledge meant we visited a cafe/ bakery with delicious sweet breads, eaten with an amazing view over the mountains. Our driver was excellent too, giving us a safe and smooth journey around the winding mountain roads. It’s a great tour and worth taking to experience the history and culture of the area, alongside some stunning mountain views. Thanks Maria!

The monasteries and villages were outstanding; I just wish we had not been so rushed. The departure was an hour and a half later than advertised (though we were warned) and as a result we were only given 45 minutes to see a village that deserved much more than that. But that is the way with coach tours.

The visit to Omodos village followed the planned itinerary. The tour started a little later to accommodate guests who requested extra time for breakfast, and despite this, the full experience of the Troodos Mountains, Kykkos Monastery, Throni tis Panagias, Pedoullas and Omodos village was delivered.

Our time in Omodos was cut short to visit, on the way back to Paphos , a farm/dining venue which in fact was an unfinished building site with a number of animals in cages and horses tied up to view. It would appear that most people on the trip were not impressed at all.. We would suggest that this venue is not included in any future trips until the building site is completed.
Apart from this the rest of the trip was well organised , most informative, and enjoyable.

The best experience, the locations you visit are stunning and Maria was able to provide lots of local knowledge.
The lunch location was also beautiful, I would recommend the omelettes.
If your questioning whether to book please do, you see so much of the island, the cedar forests and the troodos mountains are stunning.

My son and I really enjoyed this trip. We visited the two monasteries and shrine in the morning. We had stop offs in the mountains to look at the views and take photos. We had a lunch stop off followed by a short time in the village to look im the shops and buy from the bakery. Maria was a fantastic tour guide. We had been on a different trip with her earlier in the week and we're really pleased she was also our guide for this trip. She is really knowledgeable providing information about the island and history throughout. She makes sure all the timings at each spot are just right. No where was crowded even being August. A trip into the mountains is worthwhile and this was a great day. Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful time around holy grounds, learning so much with a great tour guide, and just a great way to learn more about Greek Orthodox history and beliefs. These monasteries are on very high grounds, so if you're going on a summer day, just be prepared to deal with the heat!
