Great bikes, but plan around lunch

Maryanne_D, Feb 2026
These guys were awesome. I’ve never ridden an e-bike and am not confident on bikes in general. The trail was very friendly to beginners — wide, quiet (on a weekday), even and relatively flat with few curves. Directions were clear. The whole 48km was a bit tough for my 65yo mum so she didn’t make it the whole way. Recommend Byron E-Bikes give clearer instructions of lunch options on the route (or give a pamphlet with a map and a few names of places) because we didn’t get lunch—went to the gallery but this is closed Mon-Tue, then we drove back to the Farmstay but this was closed by the time we arrived (2:10pm). Overall still a fantastic day — bikes were high quality and we appreciated the comfy gel seats.

Thanks so much for the great review — and really glad you had a fantastic day out! The Rail Trail is a great ride for beginners, and it’s good to hear you found it accessible and enjoyable. Thanks as well for the feedback on lunch options — that’s really helpful. We do include a route briefing with suggested stops, but we’ll take this on board and look at making those options even clearer and easier to follow on the day. It’s also a good reminder that some venues have limited opening days, so planning ahead can help make the most of the ride. Great to hear you enjoyed the bikes — hope to see you again for another ride!

First time on the NRRT!

Thanks to Don & Olivier from Beyond Byron e-bike tours who set us up to have a terrific experience! We live in the Northern Rivers & are regular cyclists but this was a first for us on an e-bike (and first time on the NRRT) so it was a great opportunity to test them out. Beaut sunny day, quite windy, but being on an e-bike made it a breeze (pardon the pun!) This bike tour kicks off from Mooball, which suited us better than starting at Murwillumbah, having come up from West Ballina. Nice coffee at Stokers Siding General Store, stopped at a cute little roadside fruit & veg stall that operates with an honesty box & has great produce, then lunch at Station 22 just off the trail at Burringbar, shoutout to Gabriella for a nice feed and gorgeous spot to sit and take in the scenery. All round great experience! Cheers Hillary & Stevo

Wear padded pants🤣 A delightful challenge on a gorgeous winters day. The staff member made us comfortable managing the bikes, with his prep information before we headed off on the trail..

Great , friendly service. Good quality bikes and good communication about meet up place. Good tip from the team was to have lunch at Hosanna's farm stay, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
