Our walking tour guide Gavin was a pleasure to meet and be taken through the streets of Nantes with. He showed us many of the art installations and shared the history of the city on route. We loved our visit to the market. He was very informative, and he recommended a few restaurants, two of which we tried and were so pleased, so thank you Gavin.
Our guide was Gavin Pryke, who is an artist himself. He provided an amazing tour of Nantes and was able to show us the major sites with expert and practical information of history and art in Nantes….he was one of best tour guides we have ever had.
Nantes is cool, cultural and diverse, BUT, there is so much to what creates this special place. Gavin makes that happen. Gavin our guide (in addition to being a Nantes based renowned artist), brings Nantes to life. He offered plenty of historical perspective but made the tour special by filling in all of the art information and insight that makes Nantes unique from every other city in France. Gavin also gave us unique insight into restaurants, bistros, chocolate shops and boulangeries, etc. that were on point. If you want an uninspired, dull historical stroll through Nantes, book somewhere else. If you want to FEEL Nantes, book with Gavin early in your visit to Nantes!
