This was a very well organised trip, even for non experienced kayakers. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made us feel confident at all times. The scenery on both the kayak and the walk back was amazing.

Thanks for the feedback on our guide — they do a great job of tailoring each trip to suit everyone’s abilities. Our aim is always to create a relaxed, supportive experience so everyone feels confident and can enjoy their time on the water.
non-experienced kayakers. Our guides provide a thorough safety briefing, help build confidence on the water, adjust the pace to the group, and share local knowledge along the way, so you can relax and focus on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about conditions or navigation

Sam was an excellent guide for the kayaking portion of our experience. There are compartments on the kayaks to store your gear. They also include a dry bag for phones and keys. We were on the water about 3 hrs and took breaks along the way. We saw seals along the coast of an island - very exciting! After a nice lunch on the beach we took the self-guided hike along the coast. It was very shady and the trail was well-worn and clear. Beautiful views of the ocean and lots of waterfalls to see.

We’re really glad to hear Sam made the kayaking portion such a great experience and that you felt well set up with the kayak storage and dry bags.
It’s great to know you enjoyed the beach lunch and the self-guided coastal walk too — the shaded track, waterfalls, and ocean views really are something special. Thanks for joining us on a trip to experience the Abel Tasman!
