Itinerary

Your Managua city tour begins with convenient pickup at your hotel at either the morning or afternoon tour time (8:30am or 2pm). Meet your guide and climb into a tour vehicle (vehicle differs depending on group size), then head out to explore the country's capital.

Stop first at Tiscapa Crater Lake, where you can take in the scenery and a statue of General Sandino. Then, head to the old city, where you'll visit the National Palace and Museum, the president's house, and the old cathedral. Continue to the Roberto Huembes Market, where you can see the locals shopping for their daily needs, and end up spending some leisure time at Puerto Salvador Allende.

Return to your Managua hotel for drop-off at the end of your 3-hour tour.

Beautiful Managua Experience

Oscar, our guide taking us first to the New Cathedral de Managua, Immaculada Concepcion. Church is always what we wanted to visit first whenever we go explore countries. It was a beautiful feeling that the cathedral visit was the first in the itinerary for this tour.

Rene was a really great tour guide. Not only is he super knowledgeable about Managua and it’s history, he also has a good sense of humor, which made the tour all the more pleasant. The National Palace was my favorite part. I was impressed by how much Rene knew about the geology, fauna, and art history of Nicaragua. I highly recommend this tour.

Great tour to see the highlights of Managua. We learned a lot about the culture, history and life in Nicaragua. Eric was a fantastic guide: gave very detailed and knowledgeable information. We all 4 enjoyed the tour. The van was very comfortable and provided easy access. My only recommendation is that water should be provided for guests to keep hydrated during stops.

We had a great time on this tour. We ended up having a private tour with a guide, Edgar, and driver, both of whom were great. Edgar asked us what our particular interests were and tailored the tour towards those. He gave us tons of information about the history of the country and Managua. We saw some great sights and it was awesome being picked up and dropped off at our hotel. We never felt rushed and we would recommend this tour to anyone!
