Managua is quite difficult to explore without a guide: an earthquake in 1982 wiped out 80% of the city, and the main attractions are dispersed around town: there really isn't a city centre as such. I like to explore on my own or do a walking tour, but in Managua's capital it's essential to have transport. We were delighted to meet Bermer who turned up prompt and took us on a three hour driving tour stopping off at all the main sites, like the new cathedral, the waterfront and Plaza de la Revolucion. His in depth knowledge as a local was highly valuable, and he was also very personable and happy to chat about football (as my wife is from Argentina!) All in all, Nicaragua is a great country which seems little explored compared to places like neighbouring Costa Rica. We've found all the locals very friendly, like Bermer. Recommended.

Excellent city tour

We had an excellent tour with Bermer today as our guide. Saw all the highlights in the city and learnt about the history of the country. Bermer was considerate, patient and knowledgeable. Good communication and on time. Highly recommend this tour.

That was a nice introduction into Managua Nicaragua, night tours are always good because of the lights. And this city lights it up real nice. Pretty clean city as well. The driver was on time and knowledgeable

Check the dates, 3 out of 4 attractions were closed due to celebrations and I was not made aware of this at the time of booking. I was only advised some may be closed 3hrs before trip was due to start

Unfortunately, this was officially confirmed only 72 hours in advance. As soon as we received this update, we contacted you that morning to inform you of the changes understanding this was far from ideal timing. We share your disappointment, especially given our commitment to delivering exceptional tourism experiences. This incident was particularly regrettable as it resulted from external restrictions entirely beyond our control.

Great understanding of the city, and a really good introduction to Managua on my first day in the city. Anthony was incredibly informative and was willing to answer any of the questions I asked. Came away from the tour with a great foundation of knowledge to better understand Nicaragua and its history.
