It’s an excellent and relaxing way to spend four hours in the care of a helpful, courteous and informative crew. We learned a lot about the colourful history of Launceston and the surrounding area of the Tamar river while enjoying some wine-tasting and a light lunch. It was good value for money and we would definitely recommend it for tourists and visitors to Launceston.

Our 4 hr morning cruise was canceled and a 2 and a half hour cruise was substituted. According to the Tamar cruise company they have a maintainance issues that needs to be done. The office just refunded me some money before we boarded. The staff and crew's are very polite and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise experience.
The cruise started on time and we had a very good commentary. The afternoon tea was sufficient. The food was excellent
Lisa looked after us very well. We recommend this cruise to all to experience.

This tour was:
• disorganised. Our ticket gave the Launceston Tennis Club as the meeting point prior to departure. I did not receive a response to my email of the previous day until after we had set out for the meeting point. When we rushed to the correct meeting place after receiving an SMS from the tour operator, no apology was offered.
• overcrowded. Due to overbooking some passengers had to stand for the duration of the cruise - four hours.
• activities. The wine tasting is not informative but only an excuse for a few drinks. Lunch is a pile of sandwiches although some passengers did receive their requested optional meals.
Save your money and only go on a short cruise which includes the impressive Cataract Gorge and the Batman Bridge.

The boat was well laid out and comfortable. Callum gave an informative commentary sprinkled with fun facts. The two other staff on board were friendly and attentive, and kept the brewed coffee topped up! Morning tea and lunch were great. A lovely way to spend 4 hours!

Great commentary and the staff were excellent. We enjoyed learning more about the history of the region. There was plenty of food with morning tea and a selection of rolls for lunch and a local wine and beer tasting. A very pleasant trip.

Cataract Gorge and information regarding river wildlife.
One regret is that the exterior seating at the rear of the boat has been done away with.
When I did this river trip March 2023, the seating was there.
It was a wonderful experience to sit there at times during the trip.
I recommend that you restore this seating!

The guide was quite knowledgeable, the cruise was boring and they over sold the food.
It was a few muffins and fruit cake followed by focaccias and a bit of cheese, you also had to pay for alcohol .
Definitely not worth $150 pp

Captain Callum was so knowledgeable and welcoming
Crewman Oliver made sure we were well catered for
Just a pity the toilet was very smelly
An automatic air freshener would be nice

Unfortunately marine toilets are very fickle and their may have been an issue that day. Bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between every cruise. It is also equipped with an air freshener, we will be sure to change the batteries!

We found the staff very friendly and welcoming. Captain Josh's commentary was very interesting and informative. The four hours went by very quickly. The food and wine was plentiful and high quality. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend the cruise to anyone, tourist or local.

We had a wonderful time, the Captain was full of information, the crew were very attentive to our needs and the lunch was delicious, muffins and fruit cake for morning tea, then a wine and beer tasting, followed by lunch which was an assortment of focaccias and subs, the fruit, cheeses and crackers.
