More than just an olive oil tasting

When we arrived we were given coffee and after the Greek coffee given aprons and told we were starting a cooking clas We made a 8 dishes with the host and his mother. We had a very interesting tour of the third generation olive farm and its operations. We saw the oil production center and NOW back to the taverna to taste the oil! We graded 5 oils and it was clear we didn’t know much about good olive oils. After this, we sat down to a 5 course meal that we had prepared earlier and a glass of wine. We bought some of the organic oil made there and then rushed back to the port. One thing I would recommend—- make at least four hours to do this tour and make the pick up arrangements through the tour because it was difficult to find/get a taxi and that ended up costing more than the pick up price.
