Unfortunately a disappointment

We took our tour on a Sunday. The driver took us to the Asklepieion of Cos and we toured it on our own. After that we visited Zia, where we had lunch and walked around. There was not much information shared on the ride. The tour also ended a bit early as the driver decided to take us to a winery, that was closed, so he tried a second, again closed, then olive oil tasting…closed. I believe it’s the responsibility of the guide to know what’s open and available to tour, even on a rainy day. We could have hired a driver for the day for a fraction of the price as the “guide” provided little value other than his driving services.

Hello from Kos dear Janice. As the name of the tour says "Sightseeing Private Tours" and not guided private tour you have to expect limited informations given by the driver as he is obligated to comply with the Greek law regarding guiding services. Also as you can understand we cannot walk with the clients inside an archaelogical monument and start guiding because that is against the Greek law. We are very sorry for the bad weather the day you had the tour but obviously we cannot change the weather or force the wineries or other touristic attractions to open just for us. As a customer you always have the choice to cancel before the tour starts. With those informations given I think we answered all your queries and we are wishing you all the best!

Ne préférant pas louer de voiture ni faire le tour de l'île en excursion de groupe, nous avons réservé cette visite privée pour voir Asclépiéion, Zia et Antimachia. Si le chauffeur qui nous a été attribué était ponctuel et souriant, il n'était pas de l'île et donc pas en capacité de nous conseiller sur l'itinéraire. De plus, contrairement à ce qui était indiqué, il ne comprenait pas franchement l'anglais. Résultat, bien que nous lui ayons signalé que nous avions déjà visité la ville de Kos et souhaitions faire dans l'ordre Asclépiéion, Zia et Antimachia, il nous a déposé à Kos. 1/2 heure de perdue qui nous aurait permis de voir Antimachia ce qui n'a pas été possible vu qu'il avait l'air d'avoir hâte de se débarrasser de nous et nous a ramené à 12h30 à l'hôtel au lieu de 13h00. Une visite privée qui n'a rien de luxueux donc à un prix excessif pour ce que c'est, d'autant que nous attendons toujours les frais de dégustation de vin en théorie inclus dans la prestation. Je déconseille vivement

Hello from Kos dear Graldin! Our drivers are excellent speaking the English language and that is something we are listening for the first time since we started our company...yes some of them are from other parts of Greece. As per the title says you didnt hire a car with a driver for 4hours but you had a sightseeing tour with already fixed locations of stops and times. So you cannot change the direction or location of the driver and the car. Maybe that was the confusion with the driver. It can happen if the client wants to skip a location which comes with a certain time of spending at the location, the tour will end earlier and that it is well understood we think. Regarding the wine tasting expenses you have to pay them either you stop at this location either you skip the location. We think that was a confusion and not something wrong about the tour itself. We are wishing you all the best although!
