Great tour. Great guide. The spit is beautiful. Old town was not so special, but our guide made it as good as possible. We saw a ton and had a good amount of free time to include time for lunch. The bus was on the older side but perfectly fine. There were about 20 of us on the tour.

We were picked up from the cruise terminal, with our group being only 8, so we had a minibus. The guide gave us lots of information about the area, the history, and asked us if we had any questions.
The one drawback was that there were no stops built into the itinerary for us to get food or drink, so had to ask the guide to make a quick stop to accommodate some of the passengers. We also did not have the 30 minutes at the end to look around the port town.
The trip was not cheap, but still better value than if you book through the cruise company

Guide Ilona did a great job, but the traveling equipment ( bus, mini vans). We’re old and substandard. We got stuck in National Park and never got to see Klaipeda, almost did not make it back to cruise ship on time!

Even though it remains unclear whether you used a bus or a minivan, all our transport is modern and certified, which is why it never causes problems.
Tastes differ, and we understand that in the US you may use different transport. However, in the EU, Mercedes-Benz vans and coaches are among the leading vehicles, known for their high quality and widely used for both private and group transportation.
Klaipeda was fully explored. Perhaps you did not realize it, but this is the small town where your ship docked, with a population of only around 160,000.
Timely return to the ship is one of the guaranteed tour inclusions. During our 26 years in this field, not even one person has missed their ship. Among first-time cruisers, this is one of the most common concerns, but it usually reduces with further cruising experience.
