Taxi to sight and back overpriced (even with partial refund)

In case of confusion before you book. This is for a driver to take you to the sight and back not a tour. Details on mobile app need updating. Also in case of confusion this is for a group booking not a private experience. For that reason value for money was poor (even with a partial refund). The driver was very friendly and the vehicle very comfortable. They will collect you and drop you back at your hotel or anywhere else in Kalamata. If it was advertised correctly and fairly priced id say it was very good but as what we paid it was overpriced for what it was. Other couple that were picked up felt the same. Viator/company explained and advised it details would be updated. Hope so.

Thank you for your feedback. However, we believe there is some misunderstanding regarding the experience you booked. Describing this experience as simply a “taxi to the sight and back” does not accurately reflect the service that was provided. For €70 per person, guests travel in a brand-new 2026 VIP electric vehicle, accompanied by a professional driver-host who is there not only to provide transportation, but also to share useful information about Ancient Messene, Kalamata and the wider Peloponnese, assist throughout the experience, provide local recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, and ensure a comfortable door-to-door service. The total duration of the experience is approximately five hours, and the €70 price also includes 24% VAT. The partial refund we voluntarily provided was specifically due to a minor wording issue we identified in the listing, which could have created confusion. We acknowledged this immediately and acted accordingly. It was a gesture of fairness towards you and not an acknowledgement that the experience was simply a taxi service or that its price was unjustified. We would also respectfully point out that each guest’s experience is personal and should be expressed by the individual guest themselves. While you mention the opinion of another couple travelling that day, we do not believe it would be appropriate for us,or for anyone else , to speak on behalf of other guests. Every traveller experiences and evaluates an activity differently, which is precisely why we value individual and independent feedback. The listing also offered separate private options at a different price. The option you selected was specifically the per-person/shared experience. We therefore find it somewhat contradictory to criticize the experience for not being private while at the same time considering €70 per person too expensive, since a private experience naturally comes at a significantly higher cost. We are, of course, pleased that you found our driver very friendly and our vehicle very comfortable, and we appreciate you mentioning this. What we can objectively address is what was actually provided: approximately five hours of door-to-door transportation and assistance in a brand-new 2026 VIP electric vehicle, with a professional driver-host, local information, assistance and recommendations, for €70 per person including 24% VAT.
