We went on four safaris on January, not the best time for visibility, our fault. Drivers all did a great job, safari guides were hit and miss. I recommend afternoon over morning in the winter, both visibility and weather is better. But all the guides said April is the best time to visit. Still other animals to see, including elephants and lots of deer. Saw a jungle cat as well, which is more rare than a tiger or leopard.

January can indeed be a bit challenging for wildlife sightings due to the winter fog and dense vegetation, but we're glad to hear our drivers provided you with a great experience. You're also absolutely right that afternoon safaris are often more comfortable and offer better visibility during winter.
While tigers are the main attraction, spotting a jungle cat is actually a very special sighting, as they are incredibly elusive. We're delighted you had the opportunity to see one, along with elephants and the abundant deer population.

After booking the 9am safari, which was down available on viator, and was not refundable, we were informed that only 1:30pm safari was available. The operator kept insisting that we shouldn’t have used a third party for booking.
