It was a wonderful experience. Out guide Gindo was fabulous. He was very friendly, spoke very good English and was knowledgeable. The driver, Mr. Harlem was very kind as well.
The puppet display was amazing!!

Great way to see Jakarta highlights. Visited the mosque, the third largest in the world. Went to old town, Chinatown and had lunch at Café Batavia overlooking the historic old town Square. Our guide Ine was super knowledgeable and very helpful. I would highly recommend her.

I booked this private tour for our group of 4 through Viator but I communicated directly with the provider, Milo Ferdian, on WhatsApp and his responsiveness was outstanding.
The itinerary was fine but also repeated a number of the types of stops we have already enjoyed during our numerous Asia shore excursions: a visit to the Chinatown area and an old temple, a tuk tuk ride (this one was very bumpy).
The unique stops included a visit to a puppet showroom which included a nice descriptions of the products for sale. We had seen a number of Mosques earlier but this was the first time we went inside at Istiqlal. It was a magnificent building and very much worth seeing. Also at the end of the tour we visited the old boat port; while the tour photos looked romantic for this place, there is absolutely no concessions to making the location tourist friendly.
We also stopped for some drinks and cake at Care Batavia and it was very lovely and inexpensive. I am sure of we were hungry, the meals would have been excellent there.
Really the best thing about the tour was our fabulous guide - Gindo. He provided extensive details for everything we saw throughout the day and has a great personality. We also have a lovely driver, Mr. Ihsan. So while out Jakarta visit was not quite as fresh and standout as our earlier cruise stops, it was still very enjoyable on the strength of our guide and driver.

The schedule pick up time was very flexible. We started later due to late arrival. The operator was very accommodating. The guide, Ine, was knowledgeable of the city destination, and attentive to our every needs. The driver, Bayu, was a great driver, bringing us around without much trouble with the traffic. He knew the road junction traffic monitors very well, and they opened up the way for us to pass through easily. Overall, a good package for a quick tour of the city.

Had a great time with wonderful tour guide, Fitri!! I learned a great deal of Indonesia and Jakarta history and culture. This is a tour not to missed! The private tour was wonderful in covering a lot in short period of time without stress. Bravo to Friti and the driver!!
Only note is to check when the museums are closed if that is important to you. My tour was on a Monday and museums were closed... but know I will be back another time so didn't mind. There were plenty other things to cover so did not feel much was missed. Fyi.

This day started off challenging because of management but the guide and driver ensured I saw everything and had a great time. They listened to what I wanted to see and experience and made sure it happened. I wanted to try durian and they found me “the best” durian; this was snack I will never forget. Heavy traffic everywhere in Jakarta, particularly in the port and downtown area. Travel time is unpredictable. Our guide managed the time well. There was no time for lunch in the restaurant. We brought some food and ate in the car during the traffic jam. It was rainy season in December and we could not visit the old Harbor because it was flooded.

Enok was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable about the history and cultural sites of Jakarta. The car was very comfortable and the driver knew the short cuts to avoid traffic, as much as possible. She made the tour very memorable for us by including a Tuktuk and ride, walking through old China town and a wonderful visit to Kota Tua ( old city). Lunch at Cafe Batavia was the icing on the cake. Enok also explained about local delicacies including drinks like Jamu - a truly refreshing drink after a long walk. The buggy ride around the old city transported us to the old colonial past of Jakarta. We highly recommend the tour and Enok as the guide.

What a wonderful way to see Jakarta! Our guide Enok was great! She was very flexible with our tour since we had a hobbled participant. We learned and saw so much in the time we were given. Our driver, Mr Indra navigated the very busy streets with skill and ease. The tuk-tuk ride was a hoot! I enjoyed that very much. We all have a better appreciation of Jakarta and that was due to the obvious love that Enok has for her city and country. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone, especially if you do it with Enok!

It was a nice day tour of the city of Jakarta. The 'Welcome Monument' was an eye-opener. The visit to the Istaqlal mosque and cathedral was exciting. Later we were blown away by the lunch spread. The visit to the China Town and old Batavia was interesting. Special mention for Saleh, our your guide for the day. He made the tour interesting with his in-depth knowledge about the Indonesian history and the monuments. Overall a nice way to spend the day.

Overall, it’s a valuable experience for first-time visitors who are willing to see a bit more of Jakarta beyond the most modern and central part of the city. The tour of the old China Town is quite enjoyable, and to be honest it’s probably something I wouldn’t do without a local guide. The tuk tuk ride is also eye opening, as the driving style is usually rather aggressive! Time management could have been better, but given the situation of Jakarta’s traffic, it’s understandable. The visit to the puppet workshop is probably the only put-off in the itinerary. The owner of the place was not interested in introducing the tradition of Indonesian puppet play, but rather selling something to the tourist.

I had never been to Jakarta before and was only staying a short time. I booked this tour at very short notice and was contacted immediately by the operator and guide to confirm hotel and pick-up details.
Overall the tour was varied, informative and well planned. I enjoyed it. The included lunch was amazing with a huge selection of Indonesian foods!
My tour guide ‘Fitri’ was excellent. She was well spoken in English and her knowledge on all subjects was impressive.
I would definitely recommend Fitri and this tour to others if you are wanting to see Jakarta.

Tour guide Ferdy was very thorough and shared so much the history of his country. We covered all the places indicated on the tour. Because traffic was horrible, we did not use tuktuk. Overall, the experience was wonderful!

Absolutely excellent in manage the tour, adjusting time to pick up even the booking is advice, they can accommodate lunch time and suggest me very clever. Spent a lovely afternoon learning about old and new Jakarta with the very knowledgeable Sheria who walked me through the sites and smells of China Town from the temples to the market and the city’s colonialist history which included a visit to the museum in the old governors house. We also managed to visit the old harbour before stopping for an amazing Indonesian lunch at Teko. Rounding up the afternoon, we visited the city’s Cathedral and Istiqlal Mosque which sit opposite each other, both standing tall, to remind everyone of Jakarta and Indonesias rich heritage. Thanks to Mr Ikhsan for his first class transport and Sherias knowledge I was able to see and learn so much in the little time I had in the city. The pick up and drop off was excellent. Expensive as a solo traveller but this was the perfect tour for me.

Jakarta is a very busy place and arranging for a Viator private tour was the right way for us to see it. Our driver and guide Ferdy knew where to go and how to best get there. He was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable and added many interesting insights into the things we saw. He met us at the cruise ship terminal just as planned via our What's App messages. His charismatic personality made our day most enjoyable. We would highly recommend Ferdy and this Viator private tour as a way to see way more and learn way more than you possibly could on your own. It was a great way to learn and enjoy the best of Jakarta without having to negotiate traffic and find places on your own.

This was worth it as lifetime experience. However, little rainy at first but once it good soon so that Made the tour amazing. Thank you to my friendly guide, driver very kind. Special terimakasi to Ferdy who manage the trip selection with best advise. Mention his best. I had another chance to the Islands trip so excellent.

Amazing tour, my guide was fantastic, so knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly. Really enjoyed the whole experience of this tour and the way it all went, it was a great day! Jakarta is an incredible city, loved every bit! Highly recommend this private tour.

This was one of the only tours running on a Sunday and I’m so glad I booked it! My guide was Fitri and she was absolutely wonderful- in addition to seeing the sites I learned a lot about daily life, the culture and the history here in Jakarta. The highlight by far (and to my surprise) was the puppet show though I also enjoyed seeing Chinatown, the old town and trying the traditional, local dishes. The hotel pickup and drop off was very convenient and I immediately recommended this tour to a colleague. 5 stars!
