5 stars is not enough to rate this experience. Our guide John was absolutely amazing! We were hesitant to book at first because of the price but it was worth every penny (and then some). Trying to plan our Yellowstone/Teton visit was so overwhelming. This excursion took all that away. We saw everything we wanted to and more without the stress of planning it ourselves. If we got somewhere and the parking lot was packed, John would drop us off with clear instructions as to where to walk/stand for optimal views. We didn't have to waste time finding a parking spot and walking. We saw sooo much more than we would have on our own not to mention how knowledgeable he was. If wildlife was spotted far away he would bring out his telescope for us to use. We watched a wolf pack that we would have never seen if it wasn't for that. Chico Springs was a wonderful experience...rustic but great. We ate at the bar and grill and it was delicious. The next morning we were all up bright and early and in the park for sunrise. If you are stressed trying to figure out an itinerary for maximizing your time in the parks I can't recommend this tour enough. They do all the planning and you can just sit back and take it all in.

John from Teton Floats was by far the best tour guide we have ever met! Very personable and knowledgeable about Yellowstone. We saw a grisly bear five minutes after entering the park! We also saw two black bear cubs with Mom in a tree, bald eagles, tons of bison and elk. Such a great trip!
Just in case you did not see it, this is an overnight tour and you need to get a hotel room. If you like rustic, then Chico Hot Springs is for you.
If we ever get back to Jackson, we will definitely be requesting John at Teton Floats for our next tour!

Our two day tour through the Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks was very complete!
Our “ foursome” thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our experience. Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the parks. He was very caring and attentive to the safety and needs of his tourists. He has a keen sense in spotting wildlife.
John is an asset to your touring business!
The fee for the tour was reasonable because we acquired “tons” of new knowledge, saw spectacular landscapes, and enjoyed the ride-along through Yellowstone.

Great tour! John was a very knowledgeable guide and worked around all weather related obstacles we had to ensure we had the best experience and saw all kinds of wildlife including bears, elk, and wolves. Would highly recommend. Note: book your overnight stay in advance, prepare for snow in October, and bring your own water bottle. Water is provided but its in an aluminum can.

Would give this tour more stars if I could. We got the full Yellowstone experience from glaciers and other formations to lots of wildlife sitings. John P was a super knowledgeable and experienced guide and lots of fun.. Kilmeny who works behind the scenes was really great as well.

John was our guide. His enthusiasm for his job is awesome. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about the park and the wildlife. Chico springs was a very quaint lodge we overnighted in. Kilmany was so easy to talk to and helpful with getting everything arranged. I would recommend this tour to all my friends.

John was our guide on our 2-day Yellowstone tour. He set the bar VERY high as a guide. He is very knowledgeable about Yellowstone. He was funny and helped us take a lot of pictures that we will not forget. He kept the mood very fun and pleasant. He was able to find wolves, bison, bears, antelopes, elk, and many other animals. You never felt rushed when John took us around. He was able to get us where we had to be on time all the time. If you are able to request a certain guide, ask for John, you will not be disappointed, I promise.

We have had over 14 different tours on various trips but John was the best we have ever had. We took the two day guided tour thru Yellowstone Park September 11 and 12, 2025. John was extremely knowledgeable about the park, its animals and vegistation. It was obvious that John has a love of the area and he shared his excitement of the geysers, waterfalls and wildlife with us. He brought his own telescope and we saw so many animals that we would otherwise have missed. We saw Bald Eagle, Black Bear, Pronghorn Sheep, Mointain Goat, Coyote, Rocky Mountain Gray Wolf, Buffalo, Elk, Mule Deer, Raven, Big Horn Sheep, Ground Squirrels, Chipmonk, Hawk, and Sand Hill Cranes. If you want a great experience, go with John.

This was the best tour! Shane was our guide and we had a small group of 8. We saw so many sights and lots of wildlife. I never realized just how beautiful and diverse Yellowstone is. I appreciated that Shane asked us up front if there were particular things that we wanted to see. Shane also was great about asking us questions and getting to know us. We started the tour as strangers but by the end I considered us all friends.

This was an amazing tour - yellowstone is breathtaking. The two day tour covered so many beautiful sights! It was well organized, on time and with a knowledgeable and personable tour guide. My parents really appreciated the veggie lunch provided (which can be a challenge in national parks). Special shoutout to the tour guide Andy - he made the tour lively and fun, and has excellent photography skills as well!!!
I will recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Yellowstone!

This is an outstanding way to see the park and understand it's history, early development, and wildlife. Having toured the park previously on my own like the majority of daily visitors, this tour allows you to not only navigate more of the park (without parking headacks) but you also get a guide to explain the Park history. Our guide, John Putrino was extremely knowledgable, professional, and informative. He knows the park and provided informative discussions throughout our visit. Awesome company to work with, if you are looking for a tour of Yellowstone or the Tetons this is definitely the place!!

This two-day tour of Yellowstone was absolutely incredible! Our guide Blane was professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. We visited all the major highlights—Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone—and saw many wild animals like bison and elk. The guide’s insights and storytelling made the park come alive, and everything was perfectly organized and timed. It was a stress-free, unforgettable way to explore Yellowstone. Fantastic tour of Yellowstone and more. Blane is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and thorough. We were guided to the best of Yellowstone. Very happy we saw old faithful and beehive eruptions, mud volcano, artist point, prismatic and several waterfalls. Overall very good group of people and memorable experience. Highly recommend this trip!

We absolutely loved our recent 2-day trip to Yellowstone National Park with John Putrino! John did a fantastic job from start to finish—from being right on time for hotel pickup to taking care of every detail, including capturing and sharing beautiful photos. He followed through on everything he committed to, and we truly felt looked after throughout. His deep knowledge and attention to detail made the entire experience even more memorable.
The tour itself was absolutely fabulous. Each day’s itinerary was thoughtfully organized to highlight the most iconic and breathtaking sights, and the two-day schedule was incredibly efficient—full days that covered so much without feeling rushed. In such a short time, we were able to experience the best of Yellowstone.
The tour covered both the Upper and Lower Loops of Yellowstone, showcasing a wide range of the park’s natural wonders—geysers, hot springs, bubbling mud pots, thermal basins, streams, waterfalls, and unforgettable wildlife. We were lucky to spot wolves and several bears, including grizzlies.
Even the tour coordinator (pardon me if I got the name wrong—Kilman) was wonderful. Right after we booked, she made sure to gather all our information and helped us feel well-prepared ahead of the trip.

Fantastic two-day tour with an excellent guide, John Putrino! He showed us many geothermal hot springs and geysers, and explained the history of the area, he was very thorough, and took us to see some spectacular views of Yellowstone, we learned so much! And the wildlife he took us to observe was amazing, we saw a grizzly and her cubs, and another grizzly that crossed the road in front of our car. We saw bison, elk, black bears, pronghorns, a wolf, eagles and other birds. He went over and above to give us an amazing tour, I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide John P.

Our 2 day tour was perfect! Our guide, John Putrino, did an amazing job of getting us where we needed to be with precision timing. He was quick to spot wildlife and make sure we were in the best spot for viewing and taking photos. He also went out of his way to find animals on his scope and get close-up photos and videos, which he shared with everyone at the end of the tour. The tour takes you to all of the top spots in the park, plus, John threw in some extra stops for us to make sure we experienced the park fully!
You need 2 days to see the entirety of the park. One day will only take you through the lower loop, and you will miss the beautiful upper side.

i was a little nervous about booking this trip, but i'm so glad i did! i was traveling alone and did the 2 day (1 night) tour with John in late September. We ended up with beautiful weather and probably a unusually warm, but the leaves were changing and it was beautiful. the communication before the tour was great with the owner emailing (they tried to call but i i was little hard to get a hold of). we had a group of 7 (a lovely family of 4, a couple and myself). i felt comfortable and enjoyed the company of my fellow guests. we were picked up on time from jackson hole and taken up to yellowstone with our guide, John. i can't say enough about how knowledgeable, fun, personable John was, he really helped make the trip wonderful. we were able to see all the major geysars, valleys, and most of all, animals! we saw Elk, wolves, a black bear, pronghorn, bison running. it was pretty amazing. the stay at chico hot springs was relaxing after a long day. overall, i would recommend this trip to friends and do it again.
