This was such a fun experience. You get to smell all sorts of notes, with a clear explanation at the beginning, and after picking your favorites the guide is like a wizard helping you mix notes to create your custom scent. Our guide Lea was amazing!

So unique and special! I thoroughly enjoyed it and so did my four adult daughters! We all walked away with our own bottle of perfume and loved each one! They complimented each of us! The teacher was very helpful in editing our combination of scents.

Really interesting, a very fast but impactful approach to understanding fragrance preferences and how to build a fragrance. Our guide Bella was very efficient in explaining our tasks and then narrowing our preferred scents (based on her years of experience building fragrances) into a cohesively blended individual fragrance. The elements of the fragrance take a week to coalesce so I’m still waiting to use mine and I am very excited to do so! You should come to the workshop ready to smell a lot of scents and measure quantities using the provided pipettes (including doing some addition of, and keeping track of, quantities of ml’s).

This is definitely something you should do when in Grasse. You get to smell all of the scents that you like then they come around and help you build a cohesive parfum of the balanced ratios that will work for your personalized bottle to take home. We did feel a little rushed since she had to scramble around to everyone. Note, Molinard is about 12 minute walk slightly on edge of town from Fragonard. Also. Try to arrivé earlier (or save time after) to do the tour of the factory and learn more about the history or process of making perfume, if you want to make that part of your experience.

Had such a wonderful time the class luckily was just with a few people so we all had time to learn and create our own personal scents which I think quite a rare experience, as a perfume lover myself this was a dream come true. Would absolutely recommend this class and experience and worth the time and money.

Amazing experience, wonderful guide who showed us how to mix scents, ended up with a 50ml bottle of perfume with our own signature smell. I would recommend this to men as well. My husband loved it as well as the group of men in the other table behind us. Worth the money spent !

Fabulous experience with expert-lead personalized scent-making at the Grasse main campus. The city of Grasse frames the historical context while the campus breathes authenticity into the experience. A must do for a Riviera visit.

There were just some positives and more negatives with our experience at the workshop. We loved being able to smell all the different essences and choose which ones we wanted in the eau de parfum, however, it was really downhill from there.
After you’re done with choosing your essences, the workshop leader helps you finalize your scent, and afterwards you can start making it. However, in our case my husband and I felt completely forgotten and neglected by the her. We were done with our scents and waited to finalize them but she didn’t come to us and kept passing by us to go to others. At one point she seemed like she was coming after we told her we were finished but she kept only helping the other tables instead.
At one point another helper came to assist our table, but they helped the other 4 people at our table finalize their scents, and completely ignored us and walked away. We were baffled and felt extremely forgotten as everyone was basically done with their making their eau de parfum, while we were sitting idly without a finalized scent.
This experience was only supposed to last approximately 1 hour, but it ended up lasting almost 2 because by the time someone actually helped us everyone else in our workshop group was gone.
It made us feel so awful because we felt like second class citizens compared to everyone else in our workshop.
Overall, we had fun at the beginning but the experience left a sour taste due to the neglect we experienced.

It was a one hour workshop
I was expecting to learn something
The only thing taught was the standard top, heart, and base notes description.
Literally learned nothing.
I wanted to ask questions, yet the instructor didn't have time for them since there were 20 other people also sitting in the workshop.
I paid 85 Euro pretty much to make a 50 ml bottle of my own perfume, not to gain new knowledge.
It's a beautiful location and space in which to do a workshop. Recommend it for the photo opportunities and the short historical tour for free. I wouldn't recommend this as an informative workshop to anyone.

It felt a bit rushed since we had a big group but I could’ve spent forever choosing the scents so the timing was probably perfect anyway. Wait until they tell you the ratio for mixing your perfume- I accidentally did it myself! Probably my favorite souvenir from the trip because it’s something I’ll actually use (will see how it is after letting it macerate for a week).

The perfume workshop was so fun and informative! Everything was well organized and clear. The museum was lovely and the easy, included parking (just across the street) was a big help!

We drove right from the airport to this perfume workshop. We had luggage in the car and did not feel safe leaving anything of value visible. This was not during tourist season. The parking garage had some cars locked in cages to protect from theft. So we decided to head to the hotel, which was an hour away. If our car was empty I would’ve attended. Super bummed.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this workshop! We learned a lot about perfume and had a great time immersing ourselves in the difference scents and combining them to create our very own blends. It was interesting to see how each member of our group came up with a completely different scent that was personal to them. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable and the tour afterwards was fascinating. The setting is stunning. This was one of the highlights of my holiday. If you're looking for a uniquely French experience while visiting Grasse don't miss a visit to Molinard!
