Such a fun personalized tour in Gouda. Suzanna is a perfect hostess. It was raining on our tour but we just kept going with umbrellas. We stopped at a local community event for a beer and enjoyed the music. Nice to have a local’s perspective. She took us on a behind the scenes tour in our own hotel (a former orphanage) and we learned so much. Walking tours are a great introduction to a new town so that you can better explore on your own the rest of your visit and feel like a local. You will get tips on where to eat, shop, which museums are worth visiting.

Completely enjoyed this tour! As others have said the tour started with a nice drink, snack, and chat before we explored Gouda together. We went down lots of alleys and areas I would not have found on my own. It was a nice small group and we enjoyed chatting with others on the tour. There was a lot going on in the town the day of our tour so it was helpful to have the guide with all the activity. Highly Recommended!!!

This is a very unique and personal experience. The tour starts at Susanne's (sp?) home with intros, drinks, and snacks. It's a small tour and she points out specific things that the group is interested in. It's quite different than other tours since it is very personal but we enjoyed it!

This was one of my favorite experiences in Amsterdam. We learned so much and it felt like we were just hanging out with a friend who happened to know lots about Gouda. I’d very much recommend checking this out as a day trip if visiting Amsterdam. The whole experience was great.

Our tour guide welcomed us with open arms, got to know us, offered us something to eat and drink and then we went for a walk through Gouda as friends, not as tourists lead by a tour guide. We also spent far more time than planned but it was a beautiful day and we ended it with a beverage and a snack. So worth while and we would recommend to anyone visiting this beautiful portion of the Netherlands.

Suzanne was such a pleasure to be with and so knowledgeable about the history, art and evolution of everything. It felt like she was telling a story rather than just listing facts. I was impressed with how she was able to tailor it to the interests of those on the tour. She also added a lot to my experience of the cheese market reenactment (I was lucky enough to visit on a Thursday when it takes place). Even her suggestions of routes to take while wandering afterwards, and cheese shop recommendations were spot on. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Gouda.

This tour was a highlight of my trip to The Netherlands and I highly recommend it to everyone. Suzanne was so lovely, welcoming and fun. It was like having a tour of Gouda with a friend who lives there. She knew some great hidden cafes and laneways as well as all the interesting history. This is a fun tour! Susan is very welcoming and knows lots of interesting trivia about the city! This tour is a great way to get acquainted with Gouda before deciding where to spend the rest of your time and easy to get to the tour location from the train station. I thoroughly enjoyed the two hours!

This tour was really interesting and we learned a ton on Gouda the town. Our guide was incroyable! She really took the time to answer our many questions! She was not only able to show us all the hidden gems of this little town she could also tell us the history of all of them!

Suzanna hat uns herzlich mit Kaffee und lokalen Sirupwaffeln in ihrem kleinen Laden "Collected Stories Gouda" empfangen und uns erste interessante Fakten über Gouda erzählt. Danach ging es auf den Rundgang durch das schmucke Städtchen. Hier gibt es sogar die Gezeiten, da ein Süsswasserfluss mit salzhaltigem Wasser aus dem Meer zusammenkommt. Die Tour durch Gouda hab ich bisher als eine meiner persönlichster Touren erlebt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
