Great way to see salt water crocodiles

Philippa_C, Apr 2026
Good way to get close to big salt water crocodiles. Guide was knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about salties and their environment.

Highly recommend this tour!

Joshua_K, Apr 2026
We did the jumping crocodile tour with Wookie and his associate and it was our highlight in visiting Darwin. The crew did an excellent job with their commentary, were professional, and ensured the crocs and wild birds put on a good show! Highly recommend this tour if visiting NT!

A must when visiting Darwin

Kurtis_B, Mar 2026
I highly recommend taking part in this tour, it’s great to see the crocodiles in the wild rather than in a zoo as it’s more ethical and enjoyable having to make an effort to spot the crocs rather than just seeing them in a pool living a miserable life. The tour guides are very informative and we were able to see multiple crocs during the cruise as well other wildlife. The company is a non for profit and donates all proceeds to the local aboriginals.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thanks so much for visiting Kurtis! 💚🐊

Not recommended. Boring and not spectacular as the name.

Cam_N, Jan 2026
It’s quite a boring experience, nothing spectacular as the name. Just a few crocs and very lazy. Just sits and watch or interaction with crocs at all.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Hi, I’m sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your experience. Unfortunately without speaking to our staff onsite after the cruise we aren’t able to address your specific concerns, if you’d like to contact us with the time and date of your booking, I can follow it up with the staff to address the issue.

An enjoyable way to spend an hour

Alan_H, Oct 2025
We had a great tour. The location is well marked off the main highway. The last few kilometers are via a dirt road through an open field. The facility and boat ramp are very nice with toilets, a few refreshments, a small gift shop, and a covered area with some tables. Each boat holds about 20 passengers. There are 2 employees who handle each tour. The boat captain and his first mate worked well together. They had quite a lot of information and knew the crocodiles in the river well. They were very conscious to only work with each crocodile for a short period of time before finishing the feeding and moving to the next available crocodile. The tour last 60 minutes and there was no “bad seat” on the boat. This stop is worth the time and money!

Great experience

Dorothy_C, Sep 2025
Boat captain and mate very patient and respectful of crocodiles. Got to do kites and eagles too! Great to make sure both sides of boat got experience!

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They knew exactly where to go to find the crocodiles. Boat was clean.

Over priced

Chelsea_G, Jul 2025
Overpriced!! It was an extra $60 to book through here than if we had of booked direct through the company. I get booking fees may happen, but $60 worth is ridiculous!! Wouldn't book through these guys again.

Response from Host, Jul 2025

Hi Chelsea, I’m so sorry to hear there was an issue with what you were charged, I’m wondering if there may have been a mix up with your booking as our prices are the same on Viator/Trip Advisor as via our direct website, there shouldn’t have been any extra fees. Unfortunately reviews on our listings negatively impact our business significantly, we would be more than happy to help you rectify the issue with Viator directly as this doesn’t seem to be reflective of our business. Please feel free to email us directly at marketing@jumpingcrocodile.com.au

Dad Jokes 'n' Big Crocs

Aaron_C, Jul 2025
Was pretty great, could see no matter where you were on the boat and great gags from Wookie. An hour wasn't long enough really.

Very low key place and a bit hard to find but the experience made up for that. Very knowledgeable guides who explained what was happening and all about the crocodiles habitat and characteristics in a fun way.

Excellent experience, a must do in the NT

Vanessa_B, Apr 2025
Great experience to see crocodiles in the wild. They come incredibly close to the boat so all passengers will have the best view. The team were friendly, knowledgeable and gave us loads of information on the crocodiles. We were lucky enough to see some baby crocodiles that had just been born 48 hours prior as well as see, separately, a male and female crocodile jump out the water for food from our boat.

fun entertaining and informative

lynn_h, Mar 2025
informative and entertaining guides worth the time and money but don't expect too much action. the crocs are not circus animals
