Once we got the bikes it was good fun, but somehow they overbooked for the day we rented them and tried to cancel our reservation despite it being confirmed. They then tried to talk us into a walking tour instead and when I told them no we didn’t want the walking tour, we have a confirmation email, and no we couldn’t rent bikes another day bc we would not longer be there they found a few extra bikes but we only got them for four hours rather than the full day we rented. They were insistent that they were doing us a favor and that we had to return the bikes promptly at 3:00pm despite the fact we had rented them until 8:00pm. They did not offer us a discount on the price. They will claim you booked the wrong day so make sure you have your confirmation email. As for the biking itself it was very enjoyable.

We had beautiful weather for cycling around the quaint picturesque town Colonia. We easily found the location for picking the bikes up. The vendor couldn’t speak English, found our booking but didn’t understand when we asked where to go for the cheese tasting. The map we had to ask for was a general tourist map with little information on it. I called the 24 hour phone number given with the booking email to find there was a ‘confusion’ and the cheese place was shut. The lady was very nice and text us a voucher for 2 at a restaurant where we enjoyed a 3 course traditional mixed BBQ grill.
It would be helpful if the booking confirmation included the details for the platter then this could’ve been sorted prior.
This is a nice way to see Colonia but would be better if the map included brief information about significant buildings/ locations as a self-guided tour.
