Our tour guide, Kane, was phenomenal. His excitement and knowledge was so palpable; we felt like just being in his presence he shone with a kind of radiance that was awe-inspiring. So glad we were lucky enough to meet him, and have him show our kid this remarkable ecosystem at night. He found creatures and natural wonders that we didn’t realise existed!!! Unbelievable opportunity to experience nature first hand, and I know our whole family will remember this night for many, many years to come.

Really fun night tour of the Dan tree rainforest. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to locate lots of rainforest critters for us.
Probably not suited well for really young children. On our tour, there were a number of preschoolers & babies who were generally unhappy walking around in the rainforest at night, which disrupted the experience for the adults.

It was a breathtaking experience. So happy to witness the walk with our guide Cain who has deep passion for the rainforest. Saw beautiful birds, insects, animals and also unique phenomenon of the rainforest. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to truly know about these rainforests and not just click pretty pictures. Personal thank you to Cain who made us fall in love with these forests by sharing his experiences, stories and connection to the forest. Will definitely come back and hope to learn and witness more.

Kane was an incredible guide who was clearly very passionate about the Daintree area. Although the area is still recovering from Cyclone Jasper, Kane did a great job in educating us about the local flora and fauna present. His energy and care for nature was infectious!

My partner and I had a great experience on this walk. Our guide Jason was very friendly, and very informative. Learned a lot about the weird and wonderful flora and fauna of the Daintree rainforest.
Couldn’t recommend this more to people. It was a great introductory way to explore the rainforest. It was easy walking, and felt incredibly safe.

It was a really amazing and very informative experience. The guide was very passionate and knew the exact locations of trees, bushes, and homes of different animals. Although the forest was relatively dry as it did not rain for a few days he found many animals for us to see. The tour was really worth it.

Great experience! We loved the sights and sounds of the rain forest at night. We would not have explored in that way on our own, so it was great to have a guide and learn about the wildlife and the forest. So glad we went on this tour! Our guide was great! We also combined our tour with dinner at the Cassowary (near tour meeting spot), which made a great start to a lovely evening.

Kane was very passionate about preserving the rainforest and his lived experience in the Daintree made the experience so much more authentic. We saw mushrooms and lichen that glow in the dark, green tree frogs and much more… maximum group size I would recommend is 6 otherwise you can’t see or hear the guide.

We walked away with a completely different perspective of the rainforest after our night tour with Kane. He was eccentric in the best way possible, and truly opened our eyes and minds to just the amazing level of life that lives and breathes within the rainforest. Walking along the boardwalk at night in the pitch dark truly makes your other senses go into overdrive and he was able to point out so many amazing things to us that we never thought of or noticed before. We took this night tour after being in cape trib for a few days, and truly wished we did this the first night, as our day time rainforest walks would have been more than us just appreciating the plants and beautiful scenery. It was eye opening and Kane was entertaining and so enthusiastic about the rainforest it was inspiring, we went straight back to our accomodation to look up docos and information about the daintree.

The idea of the jungle night walk really sounds super interesting.
And I think it would be a great experience if the guide would have shared his knowledge with us.
He lacked enthusiasm and remained silent for most of the walk.
I really missed some commentaries, at least of the very few animals we saw, or about the Daintree forest

Kanes Knowledge, Enthusiam & passion for nature was second to none. He showed us things we didn’t even know existed! It’s a shame the tour only goes for 1.5 hours as I could have listened to Him all night. Excellent tour and fun too !

The tour guide really did bring us to see the rainforest with a different forward thinking mindset. He got us super excited about fluorescent mushrooms, spiders and we even got to witness a cassowary in the dark! We learned not only of the history of the rainforest but also of its significance in today’s world. Seriously exciting stuff especially if you’ve grown up in an urban environment.
