On the plus side, they’re the only ones who would take a solo traveller from Campeche to Calakmul. The minus is that they’re not allowed to go into the reservation, so they bring you only so far (50km from the site) and then you’re on your own. There was therefore no guide. If you travel with them, make sure they have the permit.
