Suranga our guide was terrific and really knowledgeable. We heard his story as well as being filled in on the history of the different historic sites that we visited and and learnt some of the pearls of wisdom from the Buddhist culture. The bikes were roadworthy and comfortable. The ride was a good mix of quieter roads and some beautiful dirt tracks through heritage forest areas and rice paddy’s. We finished with a delicious authentic Sri Lankan meal at an organic cafe. Overall fantastic experience. Definitely recommend it to anyone.

It was really nice to get to know more about Sri Lanka through the cycling tour. It was nice to cycle because we were able to reach places that were more difficult with tuktuk. I had a lovely time in Anuradhapura and loved seeing the temples!! I would very much recommend this tour! Starting location was a bit challenging to find with the tuktuk driver but in the end we were able to find it.

Saranga is a very gentle and well informed guide who can tell a lot about all the interesting temples in Anaradhapura, and Buddhism. He will take you to places where you would otherwise not freely take a look. The tour is not strictly along the highlights but also through the surroundings and rice fields. He stopped at a local eatery where we were suprised by tasteful local dishes. He even extended the tour a bit because we had to wait for the pouring rain to stop. I can absolutely recommend this tour and guide! 👌

Authentic, relaxing and educational

Our guide was super friendly and knowledgable about Buddhism and all the buddhist building, ruins and customs. We learned and experienced so much and touring the surroundings by bike was really the best experience. We rode through sun and an enormous downpour, which was both enjoyable. We also really loved the local meal. Overall, a really superb experience! Highly recommended.

This was a truly magical tour. The slow pace let's you indulge into the history and the beautiful nature of Anuradhapura's ancient city. The guide was a big plus with a great knowledge about the culture and religion. I can highly recommend this tour!

We had an amazing tour on which we were told so many interesting things about Sri Lanka, Buddhism and Anuradhapura. We were cycling through scenic forests and ricefields and could experience some ceremonies at sunset. We even stopped at a local village ceremony and could try some food and interact with the local people. We had the best day so far in Sri Lanka and go to sleep with a light heart and love for all the people here. Thank you, Saranga, for this fantastic experience!

Saranga was an amazing guide ! He shared history of the sites that we visited of course but the cherries on the cake for me were his bouddhism experience and wisdom, the tour in quiet areas in the middle of rice fields and the lunch… I would never be so fulfilled by doing it on my own. I would vote for a full day trip :)
