The activity itself was wonderful and I would highly recommend the experience. However, I felt the tour operator could improve its communication and organization.
We were instructed to be ready at our hotel at 1:40 for a 1:50 departure, but there was no information about exactly where to meet. Like the other guests, we waited in the hotel lobby and eventually had to contact the operator ourselves to confirm that we were in the correct place and ask whether they were running late.
The pickup finally arrived about 30 minutes after the stated meeting time. Delays can happen and that would not have bothered me if someone had simply sent a message saying they were running late and were on the way. Instead, the guide explained that they deliberately give customers an earlier meeting time because some people are not punctual. I understand the reasoning, but from the perspective of customers who do arrive on time, it means being asked to wait unnecessarily without any communication. I think it would be better to give everyone the actual meeting time and deal individually with guests who arrive late.
I also felt the riding experience of each guest should be asked in advance rather than assumed based on appearance, age, gender, or height. I was initially assigned a very small horse, and as an experienced rider I would have appreciated being asked about my riding ability before the horses were allocated.
Overall, the activity itself was excellent. With clearer pickup instructions, better communication when there are delays, and a simple question about each guest’s riding experience, the overall experience could be much better.

Meeting time is 1:50pm bus arrived 1:56pm in that day. If you came 30 minutes before it's not fault of bus driver. You had instantly answer to your WhatsApp when you were calling. All the instruction about pick up to wait in the lobby. When I was asking on the bus if there have any experienced riders you didn't tell anything that's why we gave you a small horse for your size and body as for beginner.
A very nice afternoon into the early evening riding horses and enjoy the sunset at the end of the ride. The terrain was varied from the valley up into the nearby mountains. Instruction of how to control the horses was very good and helped avoid any issues.
Really appreciate the help from Mura! It’s really beginner-friendly. Although I was scared at first, just relax and trust the horse — they’re pretty well-trained, and there are guides at the front, back, and middle to keep everyone safe. They even had tea at the end! 🥹☕️
They gave me a smaller horse because I’m scared of big horses 😂 but it was actually so fun and comfortable for me! 🐎💕

My first time in Kazakhstan, I had nothing planned but booked this trip one day before. Mura from almatytourss collected me from my airbnb and other on the way.
We were given instructions on how to control the horse and there were zero issues. We passed by beautiful scenery, every 5 minutes a new picture had to be taken on my phone.
The trip was worthwhile and felt very scenic. As a solo traveler, this felt great to connect with nature.
Once we ended the trip, we came back to the camp and had tea and pastries in a yurt. The timing was perfect as the sun was setting.

It was one of the most striking and living experiences in Kazakhstan. I was absolutely delighted with the route, with the beauty of nature, with the horses, with the atmosphere and, of course, with the guide and the whole team.
I would like to mention our guide - a true professional of his business. Calm, attentive, confident, collected. You could see that the man knew the route perfectly well, felt the horses and knew how to keep the group safe. Even when the weather changed dramatically and heavy rain began to fall, the team acted clearly, calmly and professionally.
Horses are a separate love. Smart, beautiful, strong, well-groomed. It felt like every horse knew its way and helped you trust the process.
The route was amazing: the mountains, the steppes, the forest, the air, the views — everything so beautiful that words are hard to convey. This is not just horseback riding, it is a real immersion in the nature, freedom and atmosphere of Kazakhstan.
I'm very grateful to the whole team for this experience. You can see that people love what they do and do it with their souls. Be sure to recommend to anyone who wants not just to ride horses, but to live a real adventure in the mountains.
