Bravo Albany!

Ruby_C, Apr 2026
The practise of whale hunting is confronting but the museum showcased a strong community too. A growing community moving forward to seek, learn and create sustainable opportunities to continue living in a beautiful part of WA. Bravo Albany!

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful reflection. It is wonderful to hear you connected with both the history and the sense of community that has grown from it. Telling this story in a way that recognises the people, place, and how things have evolved over time is very important to us. We are glad this came through during your visit and that it left a positive impression.

Interesting piece of history displayed at an old whale processing center also has a small Australian wildlife enclosure and old whaling ship. ⁸

This is a really interesting place, not for the faint of heart but it's a huge part of the history of the area. Also, I couldn't make it on the day I had booked for and they were very accommodating, allowed me use the ticket days later.

Great place to visit and learn

Jane_J, Jun 2025
Great place to visit learning a lot about the early days. So much to see. It is a pity the day wasn’t so wet and windy because we would have stayed a lot longer. Well worth the visit

Response from Host, Jun 2025
