What are people saying about St. Peter's Basilica

Great tour with Doriana
I have a walking disability and almost opted for a wheelchair which would have rendered me unable to see the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. The tour company talked me into skipping the wheelchair and I’m glad I did. Our guide, Doriana, was patient and super informative and new all the shortcuts, elevators and places to sit which helped immensely. My daughter and I both loved our afternoon with her. We learned so many things that our heads are spinning…in a good way. Grazie Doriana

Super Sights
So many wonderful sights at the Vatican Museum. Sistine Chapel ( no photos allowed to be taken when seeing the Chapel with an interesting tour of St Peter’s Basilica. Quite a bit of walking so comfortable shoes and if you can’t stand for too long something to sit on like a folding seat. Our guide was both knowledgeable and funny so I thotuenjoyed my visit to each of the different parts of this trip.

Vatican Tours
Loreley was fantastic. Very friendly and knowledgeable. She also knew how to navigate the crowds and keep our group moving. We toured the museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.

St. Peter's Basilica on a sunny day, Rome
  • Be prepared for security lines similar to those at airports, including metal detectors, bag scanners, and potentially long waits.

  • This is one of the most popular attractions in all of Italy, so crowds are nearly inevitable.

  • The Basilica of St. Peter has a strict dress code—no bare shoulders, midriffs, or knees—and you won't be allowed in unless you adhere to it.

  • A skip-the-line tour of the Vatican Museums that includes St. Peter's enables you to bypass the basilica's long entry lines; you still have to go through the security check.

  • Climbing the dome atop the Basilica to take in the fantastic views over St. Peter's Square, requires a ticket.
