What are people saying about Sao Miguel

Great views.
Vasco picked us up as we exited the ship. He was amazing!!!! He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. He gave us lots of information and answered all our questions. He went above and beyond. We felt very safe with him. I would definitely recommend this private tour.

Fun, educational and yummy
This tour had more stops than others that I’ve done, 6 in all. We had a great guide and there was a chef that went out in advance of us to each stop to prepare everything for us. Guide was knowledgeable about food, as well as other information about Ponta Delgada and the Azores. My favourite stop was at A Tasca. Comfie shoes are a great help on the stone road and walkways, but there isn’t too much walking in between each stop.

Emilio, you are the best
I went with some friends, we weren't very sure if it was worth the price, although we wanted to do the activity and see whales, the guide, Emilio, was super nice, the explanations were understood perfectly, and upon getting off we stayed a few minutes talking with him, he told us that he was a little worried that maybe something hadn't been understood, to which, without being experts in English, we told him that not at all, everything was understood great, plus we asked him if he could send us some of the photos that he took, although he hadn't seen them yet he told us no problem, he asked us for an email and the same night he sent us the ones he liked the most, 100% recommended, if you can go with Emilio, even better.

A Must Do Tour
After visiting the western part of the island the previous day, this full day tour of the east was equally spectacular. From breathtaking views, to the active geothermal fields, and capped with a lunch featuring “cozido das Furnas” (a delicious hearty stew simmered for hours using the geothermal heat from the nearby calderas) this is a tour not to be missed. We also could not have had a better guide (Marcio), who was knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about the island of his birth. We highly recommend Azores Nature Tours….

Sao Miguel, the largest island in Portugal's Azores archipelago, boasts stunning volcanic landscapes and lush scenery. Sao Miguel tours take you into the heart of the island to fully appreciate this natural setting—from exploring the crater lakes of Sete Cidades and the thermal baths of Furnas to canyoneering through waterfalls. The island’s marine life takes center stage on trips that focus on whale-watching, snorkeling, and swimming with wild dolphins, while cultural experiences help you discover local dishes.
