What are people saying about San Salvador

Wonderful day trip from San Salvador
We were looking to spend a day outside of San Salvador after a week of working in the city and the towns along the Ruta de las Flores looked so appealing. This was the perfect day trip/getaway. The first town was 1.5 hours away and our trip back from the last town took 2 hours, but we knew that in advance and getting away was so worth it. Our driver, Iván, was excellent and we were in an extremely comfortable car. Jocelyn was our tour guide and I can’t say enough good things about her. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, personable, and a lot of fun to spend the day with. I was surprised to learn she is a recent addition to the company, because I never would have guessed. She was a total pro and had great insights to share in answer to our questions. One of my favorite experiences was wandering through a farmer’s market and sampling whatever food and produce struck our fancy. I didn’t feel rushed and had a lot of fun. Each town we visited had its own personality and we took our time wandering around town squares, churches, gardens, and little side streets. I had originally wondered if the coffee plantation might be gimmicky, as I was born and raised in Latin American coffee country, but it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the day. The restaurant, Entre Nubes, grows and processes its own coffee. We were able to walk around for a bit among the coffee plants and learn about Salvadoran coffee varieties, which I knew nothing about. We then went to the coffee bar and sampled a few types of coffee, which were truly delicious. The restaurant is large, open, and airy, and we enjoyed some quesadilla (traditional cheesy cornbread) and plantain empanadas with our coffee, with a lovely background of live music. One thing I appreciated was that although we walked through a market that sold souvenirs, it was a side trip and I did not feel like we were being sold anything or that shopping was the main point of the trip, because it definitely was not. This was a wonderful experience and I will always be glad I got to see these places on my first trip to El Salvador. Thank you, Jocelyn and Iván! Hope to see you next time.

The Best Walking Tour
Genuinely this was the best walking tour I’ve done on my travels so far. My guide Seffany was absolutely lovely. We walked through the historic center and learned about the history of El Salvador and San Salvador, Seffany had an answer to every question I asked. While being educational she also recommended places to go, foods to try, and things to do which was much appreciated. We also stopped at an ice cream place and I got to try some flavors I never had before, such as jocote. I had a great time and would recommend to others, it’s a great place to start your trip in San Salvador!

🇸🇻Best way to be introduced to San Salvador 5⭐️🇸🇻
The best tour in San Salvador. Dave is very entertaining and educational. I'm fascinated with El Salvador. I've been to El Salvador 3 times in the last 12 months. The tour is so much fun. I've taken the tour 3 times. Once myself. My wife joined me on the second tour. My wife and brother joined me on the third. I'll be joining Dave on my fourth tour when I introduce some of my friends to the beauty of El Salvador. I think it's important to do the tour and learn about the journey of El Salvador to truly enjoy El Salvador.

Nice day.
A very interesting trip. The pickup was right at the agreed time. Our guide, David, was both professional and entertaining at the same time. The climb is moderately difficult and offers beautiful views along the way. It is also incredibly beautiful at the top of the volcano. I highly recommend it.

The capital of the small country of El Salvador, San Salvador is a perfect jumping-off point for exploring the country. Scale Santa Ana Peak, the country’s tallest mountain and an active volcano; border-hop into nearby Honduras for the ruins of Copan, some of the world's best-preserved Maya ruins; or follow the Ruta de las Flores, a path that features incredible biodiversity and indigenous culture. San Salvador tours are the way to see the country and region in all its complexity.
