Unforgettable 2 day experience
The short 2 day Inca Trail is a definite highlight if you want to see Machu Picchu. You don't need to be marathon fit to complete this, but do make sure that you are acclimated to the altitude before you go. Sunscreen, lots of water and bug spray is a must! Patience, endurance and a positive attitude will get you to the top! Appreciate your guides and porters, they are well trained and very accommodating. Without them, it will be way tougher.

Worth Every Penny
The absolute highlight of our trip to Peru. The organisation was wonderful, the food was out of this world and the guides were very supportive and friendly. A big shout out to Rosmel and Danilo for helping me and my mother up the Inca Trail and truly making this a once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend booking your trip to Machu Picchu with this company, it's worth every penny.

Rainbow Mountain
If you want to see the most colorful mountains in Peru, you need to sign up for this trip. They suggest you get used to the altitude because you'll be very high up. It's also cold and windy, so dress warmly. But so worth the experience.

Super personal tour
Excellent personalised tour with just my wife and I with the guide (Elvis).
Got to Sungate by 11.45 after stopping for lunch just before and so lots of time in Machu Pichu.
Bucket list experience.

Prepare yourself for the Inka Trail Trek
Yes
People signing up for the Trek need to know the extent of it.
They need to really prepare for this .
It rained so hard on our first day.
Very slippery.
It says toilets on our breakfast and lunch break.
It was Horrible. Just a hole in the floor.
Our tour guides .. Monica & especially Raul were AMAZING!!

Five stars for Ernesto
Ernesto was fantastic to hike with. Set a great pace and stopped enough to allow us to enjoy the view, take some photos to capture the memories and share information about the history and culture of the area.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable...
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable experience thanks to Fletcher!
What an incredible experience! The Inca Trail was something I’d wanted to do for a long time, and Fletcher made it even more special.
From start to finish, he was absolutely brilliant. Such a genuine, friendly and knowledgeable guy who clearly loves what he does. His knowledge of the Incas, the history and the surrounding area was fascinating, but what really stood out was his personality and the way he made everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
He had a great sense of humour, plenty of patience and always made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
The scenery and the experience itself were unforgettable, but it’s the people you meet along the way who really make a trip special, and Fletcher was definitely one of them.
I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. If you’re lucky enough to have Fletcher as your guide, you’re in excellent hands.
Thanks for the memories, Fletcher. An absolute gentleman and someone I’ll always remember from my time in Peru!

Alpaca ensures that...
Alpaca ensures that throughout the duration of the Inca Trail that you are looked after and have the best experience possible.
Our guides, Javier and Rich gave great advice and looked after the group. They knew when to joke but also when to provide serious advice for the group. Javier was knowledgeable about the mountain with its flora and fauna and also provided great tips during the trail. Javier especially provided help to a member in the group who struggled with altitude and the hike, going as far as to take some weight or assist with the hills.
The porters are efficient and helpful. They work hard to make sure camp is set up and packed each day and the chefs provide amazing food that boggles the mind with the quality on the hike.
I highly recommend doing the Inca Trail with Alpaca.
