What are people saying about Amazon River

Great piranha fishing experience!
My tour guide, Jose, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. We went piranha fishing at a traditional fishing house, and I managed to catch around 10–11 piranhas! What made the experience even more interesting were the stories Jose and the owner shared about the fishing house. Afterward, at my request, I had the option to have the fish grilled for an extra tip. It was absolutely worth it—the fish was delicious, and having my catch prepared and served made the experience feel truly unique. A fun and memorable experience that I would definitely recommend!

Excellent outing --esp for cruiseship passengers.
This was a great tour. We were taken into an area of the Amazon we never would have been able to reach ourselves. James was a fun guide -- he connected with the guests and helped us all have fun.

  • The Amazon River vies with the Nile for the title of the longest river in the world and is a must-see for adventure travelers and nature lovers.

  • Remember to bring insect repellent to protect yourself against mosquitos.

  • It's a good idea to pack comfortable walking shoes, a wide-brimmed hat, and lightweight clothing such as quick-drying pants and long-sleeved shirts.

  • Drink plenty of water; it's always hot and muggy in the Amazon jungle.
