Civitavecchia Shore Excursion Local Market with Wine and Cheese

Step off the ship and straight into real Italian life with a relaxed foodie experience just minutes from Civitavecchia’s port. Wander through backstreets and small piazzas, and see how locals actually start their day in this Mediterranean town. At the lively local market, you visit carefully chosen family‑owned stalls and taste what Italians really buy for their tables: pizza and focaccia, olives, prosciutto sliced to order, porchetta, creamy mozzarella di bufala, aged Parmigiano, and salty Pecorino Romano, naturally paired with a glass of local wine for a true Italian aperitivo feeling. To finish, you enjoy gelato at a beloved shop founded in 1949, still run by the same family using the same recipes and the same love for the craft. Close to the port, perfectly timed between breakfast and lunch, and designed as an intimate food experience rather than a standard tour, this is the perfect choice if you’ve already seen Rome and want to taste Italy where locals live.

You will put your hands in dough to prepare the real puff pastry with the method that my mother and grandmother taught me, totally by hand. And then we'll get the tagliolini to dress with the mussels that I've prepared for you. You will find that making Tiramisu is easier than you think. In all this you will be followed by me who will explain my secrets and at the end we will sit at the table with my family to enjoy everything we have prepared together and the other dishes that I have cooked for you, in a family environment with attention to detail. In summer we can enjoy the private garden or if you prefer we can stay inside, away from heat and cold with the help of air conditioning.
