The Perfect Evening in Genova

Alberto was an incredible host and made the whole evening so special. Communication and coordination were simple, and the experience itself was amazing from beginning to end. The outdoor space is beautiful and expertly arranged to accommodate the activity. Alberto did an outstanding job sharing the history and significance of each ingredient and cooking instrument used in creating our dish. His preparation and cooking instructions were clear, and he provided helpful guidance along the way whenever things went sideways—which, of course, is part of the fun of cooking! He also provided excellent wine and snacks to enjoy throughout the experience, and the food we created was absolutely delicious. We shared the evening with another couple and had a great time getting to know them and enjoying conversation together. Alberto was incredibly gracious and even allowed us to hang out and enjoy the evening a little longer after the class had finished. Overall, this was a very special evening, and we are incredibly grateful to Alberto for hosting us. If you're looking for a unique and memorable experience while visiting Genova, I can't recommend this cooking class enough. It was one of the highlights of our trip and an evening we'll always remember!

The Best Pesto You Will Ever Make

We were immediately greeted and welcomed when walking in the shop. The shop owner was warm, kind and funny. She taught us how authentic pesto is made and I’m excited to do it at home. I highly recommend and will never forget this experience. My husband and I could not stop talking about how delicious authentic pesto tastes! It’s nothing like what you get in the store.

Best part of our trip so far!

I wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars. This was by far the highlight of our trip. Tiziana and Roberto were such a delight, the food was absolutely delicious, and they even accommodated a mishap on our part. We really felt like part of their family. More Than a Cooking Class—A True Italian Experience

Lorenzo and Camila were such wonderful hosts! When we booked, we didn’t realize our accommodations were about an hour away. They were incredibly understanding of our situation and immediately put our minds at ease by allowing us to keep our reservation even though we arrived a little late. Camila made the pesto-making experience both fun and informative, explaining each step with enthusiasm and patience. Her encouraging teaching style made our party of three feel like confident chefs in no time! The meal we prepared was absolutely delicious, and the tiramisu was truly mouthwatering—the perfect ending to a fantastic experience. I just love food!!!

This small group tour was wonderful. We got all the good local foods. The pesto at the restaurant was so amazing we were actually trying to buy it and bring it home. No dice though they didn't sell it, and I have tried and can't recreate it lol. The guide was wonderfully knowledgeable not only for food but for things as we walked around. We still got to see sights as we walked around getting food. I did the traditional tour and wouldn't change a thing. We even go to see some of the focaccia being made and flipped in the air to thin it out.
