Top Gdansk How to Get Around

Gdańsk's soldiers were sometimes paid in beer, Neptune once smashed gold coins in a fountain out of sheer annoyance, and postal workers held off an army for 15 hours — this city's stories are wild. This self-guided audio tour walks you through them all, right from your phone. Follow the Royal Way past golden gates and merchant houses, hear legends about a mermaid, and stand where the Solidarity movement began its fight against communism. From the medieval Crane where workers walked inside giant hamster wheels to lift cargo, to Mariacka Street — you'll cover Gdańsk's thousand-year arc in about 2 hours. No fixed start time, no group to keep up with. Pause for a drink, climb St. Mary's tower, or linger in a shop — the tour waits for you and even works offline. If you'd rather explore on your own terms instead of being herded in a group, this is your kind of tour. Over 20,000 travelers have used our self-guided tours, and every booking comes with a full refund guarantee.
