What are people saying about Cusco

We had a great experience...
We had a great experience with Apu Asangate Trek during our visit to Cusco. The tour was well organized, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Our tour guide, Felipe, was excellent. He shared fascinating information about the Quechua community and culture, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. He also guided our group through Moray and the Maras Salt Mines, providing interesting historical and cultural insights at each location. We appreciate the company's organization and professionalism and would highly recommend Apu Asangate Trek to anyone planning a trip to Cusco. They helped make our visit a memorable one.

Great views all the way to the top
This tour was great. We had the perfect weather and the mountain was amazing! The colours and views were breathtaking. We continued to red valley and it was worth it. A little challenging but so rewarding. If it’s a cloudy day maybe the colours on Rainbow Mountain don’t stand out as much but we had full sun and no clouds and I found the colours stood out more than I expected. Very satisfied. Definitely recommend.

Rainbow Mtn by ATV … the Best!
This was a really early start (and I doubted, at first this decision) However, it was the best decision! Pickup at our hotel was around 3am but we slept a bit in the van. After the stops to pick up up passengers, we journeyed a few hours where stopped for breakfast. Then we headed one more hour to the base camp of the ATVs. The sun was dawning and it was cold. Bring hats, gloves and a winter coat . We were outfitted with the atv and headed to Rainbow Mtn. - so much Fun! About 20 minute ride . At Rainow Mtn, we were given some time to walk around to the different pictures sights &just take it in. I will say there were no crowds at this time so it was very serene. Perfect blue skies graced our day. After our Atv back (again so much fun and better than walking) we boarded the van and stopped for lunch at the same place for breakfast. A little bumper to lumper traffic back into Cusco slowed us down a little. But I must say that arriving back in the early afternoon gave us the whole day to keep exploring Cusco :) This was a great excursion and highly recommend if the early departure isn’t a factor. It was awesome to see Rainbow Mtn before all the crowds showed up and it was a wonderful sight to see and experience.

Don’t miss it!
Wilson was an incredible guide! He was patient teaching us how to use the quads and was full of energy, positivity, and knowledge. The ride through the mountains was incredible with a beautiful photo stop, plus visits to Moray and Mara Salt Mines! At the mines we were also able to sample local chocolate and salt.
