What are people saying about Amalfi Coast

nonnalba, Oct 2026
A beautiful and incredible experience in a magnificent place with our adorable chef Ferdinando!
To celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday, we made the trip to the Amalfi Coast, to Acerola more precisely, as a family from France: Aix, Avignon, Lyon, Paris, Valence.... 22 people in all! Ferdinando and his family welcomed us warmly! "La perla dei gemelli cooking class" is the name of his course; his 2 twin sons assisted him with the preparation of the equipment and table service, super well organized! We all put on pretty aprons with lemons and limoncello printed on them! The place is sublime and quiet, the classes well prepared, and everyone participates in a good mood with Italian songs in the background that we enjoyed! We each made, including the children, our individual tiramisu in a large glass, then the fresh tagliatelle pasta from A to Z, kneaded and cut with a machine with Ferdinando's explanations; he manages it super well! The explanations are clear, he has a smile on his face constantly, and he is even funny! Then we set to work on the mozzarella, an incredible experience! After a nice glass of white wine as an aperitif, we sat down at the table where bruschetta with olive oil and herbs and delicious tomato salad from his garden were waiting for us, each with one of our mozzarellas: delicious! Grilled squash slices as an extra! Then followed the tagliatelle that he had cooked, topped with an incredible cherry tomato sauce and sprinkled with cheese! To finish, our famous light and creamy tiramisu sprinkled with cocoa! We loved it, laughed, sang, took funny photos, and ate very well! Thanks to Ferdinando and his family! What a beautiful memory! Thank you!

Pasta, Pizza, Gnocchi, tiramisu… oh my
The saying goes jack of all trades master of none, but after taking the class we felt more like a Giacomo than a Jack. The class was held in the upper hills of Sorrento in an outdoor covered kitchen at Palazzo del Barone with a beautiful view of the Bay of Naples. We made pizza dough, gnocchi, tagliatelle pasta, and tiramisu too. Sure we were busy, but between sparkling wine and red wine we had a wonderful time. The chef (Rita?) was a great instructor and made sure we learned each recipe, but if you forgot (like me) a recipe book was included along with a souvenir apron. While pasta and pizza dough takes work the tiramisu was easy and we will definitely make it at home. There were 14 of us in the class which made for fun and lively conversation. We would highly recommend it for an afternoon of making and then enjoying your lunch. Cheers

This was an incredible...
This was an incredible experience. If you’re looking for a traditional, thoughtful, and a genuine cooking experience this is it. Emily and her family were amazing from the time her brother greeted us in the square and walked us to their house, to hearing Emily talk about her grandmother and their traditions. We experienced an authentic and really thoughtful time making our dishes. Cannot recommend more it was amazing.

Amazing experience!
The BEST experience of our whole trip! Luca, the owner, was amazing and hands on involved. The staff was entertaining and very knowledgeable of the vegetables growing on the land, food, cooking, singing and dancing. The stories flowed like the wine all evening. We were taught how to prepare the food as we each had our own cooking responsibility. Once the food was cooked, we shared the food family style. We met 6 couples as strangers and left as friends. We had many crossed connections and 6-degrees of separation within our group. If you have the chance to take the full cooking course, I highly recommend this experience! You would be more disappointed in not booking the trip!
