The bus ride was 2hrs each way which left us with about 3hrs in Venice. Didn't see too much in Venice but enough to say we were there. I would recommend traveling to Venive and staying for a few days to really enjoy it. We did a lot of stopping on the tour just listening to our guide talk. One plus was that it was much less expensive to use Viator instead of the ship tour.

Seamless connections between bus pick up at Port, water taxi to San Marco, gondola ride then came back to cruise ship terminal, no time wasted during the entire trip, excellent!
