Great experience. Fiona was awesome. Lots of great information about St Andrews and its history. I will definitely be back

The tour is a bit over two hours so plan accordingly. Fiona was our guide and she was lovely, informative and very funny. We had spectacular weather and were lucky for that. You do a fair amount of walking and standing so people should know that. Great experience!

We were staying in Crail and wanted to see St. Andrew's for the first time. Our tour guide Connor was so lovely. He was kind and very knowledgeable about the history of the old golf course, the university, the castle and cathedral. We loved our tour with Connor!! Highly recommend!

This was a great overview and we had a great understanding of the town when we were done. We had an impromptu visit to chapel at the university which we loved.

This is a nice comprehensive tour. We were only in town for the day and it was a great way to see highlights and learn about the history of St Andrews.

Jamie was a great guide - just the right mix of entertainment and information.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see all the places listed in itinerary as spent a very long time on the old golf course 😩

Great tour with Ken in the last week of October 2025. He was clear, articulate, intelligent, well informed and gave a wonderful walk around St. Andrews, showing us the sites, answering our questions, and delivering the history.

This was a great overview of Saint Andrew’s including the Old Course, University and towns history. We felt like the length of the tour was good. Note if there is a tournament going on you won’t be able to walk onto the old course but view if via a platform.

Informative walk around St Andrew's history of both the golf course and University as well as other attractions. Fiona our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and good fun!
Michelle_M, Sep 2025
The tour guide, John, was extremely knowledgeable. There were many facts about saint andrew's history that I had no clue about. The only thing I did not like was the tour ended in town. Not back where we started. So it was a little confusing on navigating the area, not that that is the fault of the tour guide. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.Just knowYou will be left in town at the end by St. Mary's college.

Interesting tour of St Andrews. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area. We took a day trip from Edinburgh and combined this with an afternoon tour of the golf course. It was a nice way to spend the day and learn about a town outside of Edinburgh.

it was wonderful learning the history of St Andrews and seeing its beauty. Was not a hard walk. Loved seeing the university

Our St Andrews walking tour was an absolute delight, weaving through the historic streets of this charming Scottish town with stories that spanned centuries. From the ancient ruins of the cathedral to the bustling university grounds and the iconic Old Course, every step felt like a journey through time. Our guide, Ken, was the star of the show—his passionate storytelling and encyclopedic knowledge brought the city to life, effortlessly bridging medieval tales of saints and scholars with modern-day anecdotes. Highly recommended for history buffs and casual explorers alike; it’s a perfect way to uncover St Andrews’ hidden gems!

Fiona Shrek our tour guide was friendly, humorous , and very informative. The length of the tour was just right and we had a great time. We learnt a lot about St Andrews in a short period of time which would not otherwise have been possible. Would recommend it to any visitor or visiting parent whose children are studying at St Andrews.
