Booked privat tour with privat Guide and Driver. By reaching DMZ zone had to board a 60 seater bus until getting out of the zone. The 3hr trip Seoul to DMZ and back was the difference. Also the guide IVY was only here for me the whole trip. I can tell she did it not first time and for me wanting just to see and experience the DMZ in a 7hrs journey - she was the perfect storyteller about the history and the present.

Thank You
We had a great full day of activities with our guide Rose. Rose provided great information before and during each stop. Also, VIP Travel was very accommodating for our asks. Highly recommend the group and guide.
Rose did a wonderful job taking care of all of us. My mom is 80 and she made sure she was safe throughout the entire day. My friends who were with me could not speak or understand Korean and Rose spoke English so well so it was very easy to understand. We had a great time!
Ivy was a great tour guide, she went above and beyond to help us throughout the trip and gave very informative background on the exhibits and locations and local shops.
The trip was very cool, we were able to get close to and see North Korea through binoculars and get to the infiltration tunnel underground, getting as close to North Korea as possible.

Eva was an amazing tour. She guided us through everything and made sure we understood all the facts about the DMZ! I would recommend this to everyone!
Outstanding visit to DMZ. Alice the guide was great. Really enjoyed the observatory and tunnel. Learned a ton about the Korean War, armistice and current sentiments. The views from the observatory were cool and surreal to see the north through binoculars. The JSA museum was a little hokey - would have been better if they built a replica outside and without the video screen
But private was way to go and was well worth it. Driver Mr Kim was great. Vehicle was comfortable.
Would recommend this tour

A full day of history and emotion! Max led us on a great journey with pick up in Myeongdong. He chatted with us on the way to the DMZ to give us the history of the Korean Peninsula and the conflict that is still not over. A stop at Imjingak Park to see the altar, damaged train, and wishes / prayers for reunification was emotional. Other stops to Dora Observatory, JSA, and a defector talk was informative and heartbreaking (the museum room to listen to the sound bites from the war was emotional). Bring your hiking legs to climb back out of the 3rd tunnel!!
Throughout the whole tour, Max was great with giving history and was a joy to talk to on a personal level!
Incredibly informative, well-paced. Wonderful experience for our family. Ivy was our guide and was wonderful!

This tour was incredible. If I could do only one tour while in the vicinity of Seoul I would choose this one. Our guide Ivy was one of the best guides we have ever had. This was a very poignant, historically important tour. Ivy was so personable, knew her history, and so respectful of the site, history, and culture. We learned so much. From Ivy, we got a good taste of how lovely the South Korean people are. The desire for re-unification still burns deep. The separation from families is still raw all these years later. Our tour was private, and worth every penny!

Our guide, Nova, was extremely personable and shared a lot of Korean history. The DMV was fascinating but had many sad elements. But, I am very glad to learn that history.
There were some very challenging steps and inclines during the day. But, you can decide to skip those activities.

Our DMZ tour with Sunny was phenomenal! Sunny was extremely knowledgeable and we truly enjoyed our day. Her company has exclusive access to a brand new JSA (Joint Security Area) Museum and it was the highlight of the tour! It brought the Korean experience to life and gave us a true understanding of the evolution of the relationship between North and South Korea. A must visit! Sunny was a warm, lovely person and we will definitely book another tour with her the next time we visit Seoul!

Dear Customer. Hello, this is Melanie from VIP Travel.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback.
It was wonderful having you on our tour, and we can't wait to welcome you again soon!
This was a great tour! We were picked up at our hotel by a very nice driver along with our own personal tour guide. She was very interesting and informative about South Korea, the war and about the DMZ. The weather was very hot, as we were there in early September during a heat wave. She was able to alter the tour a little for us so we were not spending too much time in the heat. While at the tunnel she helped us look around the store to suggest what to buy. She took so many pictures of us all. All in all a great tour and we all found it very interesting.
Absolutely amazing experience! Ray and VIP tours went out of their way to make our private tour experience one of the most memorable moments in our lives. The DMZ is a MUST DO for anyone visiting South Korea. Our guide Ray was incredibly knowledgable and funny! I would recommend anyone to request him as a guide!
