I had a great time on the Half-Day Phnom Penh City Tour and would absolutely recommend it.
My tour guide, Kakada, was fantastic. His English was excellent, he had a great sense of humor, and he was genuinely friendly and easy to talk to. He made the tour both informative and enjoyable, and did a great job explaining Cambodia’s culture as well as its complicated and emotional history. The driver was also great, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
The only constructive feedback I’d share is about the tour information itself, and this isn’t a reflection on my guide at all. It wasn’t totally clear in the description that you’re supposed to choose between a cultural-themed tour or a genocide-themed tour, since the itinerary seems to list all sites together but in other places it says you need to choose between the two option. That said, Kakada was very flexible and let me choose a mix of both, and I was able to pick four attractions, which worked out perfectly.
There was also a small pickup confusion. The Viator listing said there were only two pickup points, so I took a Grab to one of the hotels, but later found out hotel pickup and drop-off was actually possible. Again, not a big deal, and more of a clarity issue on the tour company’s side than anything else.
Overall, this was a really informative and enjoyable tour. Kakada and the driver did an excellent job showing me Phnom Penh, its culture, and its history. Highly recommended!

Informative pleasant tour. Enjoyed the palace. Museum not so much. Repetitious endless displays of Buddha statues and the like. Museum is not well maintained. Everything covered in dust. Made an extra stop at post office for us to acquire postcard stamps.

Our guide was lovely and quite knowledgeable. She was also willing to talk about the culture and politics of her country, which is fascinating. We had just flown in from the US that morning, so our afternoon tour was perhaps a bit ambitious, especially since we weren’t acclimatized to the very hot temperatures. Our guide and our equally pleasant driver were very flexible with the itinerary as we flagged.

A really interesting tour with our knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide Jani (apologies for any misspelling). The visit to the royal palace was fascinating and beautiful. We were handed over to a museum guide at the National Museum who gave us an excellent insight into archeology and artefact management in Cambodia- a good introduction and background for visiting the temples of Angkor Wat.

Great tour and recommend. Our tour guide — I apologize, I forgot his name — but he is pictured here, was great. I believe his name was Sina! He took care of us and made sure we knew the background behind all the sites. He took us to a nice market for lunch. And even took the time to escort us to a cooking class we had. A must do when in PP.

The King’s Palace, the beautiful well maintain landscape. The fact that it is an active palace with the unmarried king and his 90 plus year old mother living on the grounds.

The city tour was an incredibly immersive experience, with Sam as our guide. His extensive knowledge of the city's history and culture was truly impressive, and his friendly and accommodating nature made the tour even more enjoyable. The sights and sounds of the city were so captivating that I couldn't resist signing up for the evening food tour that Sam also offered.
During the food tour, Sam continued to impress with his knowledge of the local cuisine and dining scene. The food he recommended was simply exquisite, and I found myself savoring every bite. As we explored the city's culinary hotspots, Sam shared fascinating stories and insights about the food and the culture surrounding it.
Overall, the combination of the city tour and the food tour created an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend both tours to anyone visiting the city. Sam's expertise and friendly demeanor make him an excellent guide, and I would jump at the chance to join him on another tour in the future.
