An unforgettable traditional felting experience in Marrakech!

I had such a wonderful experience learning the traditional art of felting with Khalid at the Traditional Arts Centre in Marrakech. Khalid has been an artisan since the age of 12, and his knowledge, patience and passion for his craft are truly inspiring. He speaks excellent English and explains every step of the process so clearly, making the workshop both enjoyable and fascinating. The workshop space is beautiful, and spending the morning with Khalid was an absolute pleasure. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves craftsmanship, traditional arts and handmade creations. I will definitely come back for another workshop with Khalid the next time I visit Marrakech! Thank you for such a beautiful and inspiring experience! ❤️

I had a wonderful time trying traditional Moroccan felt making! During the workshop, I created a picture using natural (colourful) wool, and it was fascinating to see how the artwork gradually came together by working with the fibers by hand!! The Maalem(master) of felting was patient and explained every step clearly, so it was easy to follow even as a beginner. I also loved having the freedom to choose the colors and create my own design. It was a relaxing and creative experience that gave me a deeper appreciation for Moroccan craftsmanship. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique cultural activity in Morocco, Marrakesh!
