It was an amazing experience!! The waterfalls were beautiful. I must say though that having good stamina is recommended. There’s a hike to the 5th waterfall that will get you breathing hard. Otherwise, canyoning through the waterfalls was a thrill.
Bring extra clothes, socks and shoes!
Ale was a great tour guide and Arthur was a friendly assistant! We also had Marvin who was our driver. He drove safely and very friendly also!

This was such a fun and adventurous experience for my active family (kids ages 10 and 13). Each rappel was different but all led to the large 230 foot rappel. The guides made us feel very safe and did not pressure you into doing the biggest rappel. They also made recommendations based on skill. For example, my 10 year old opted just to watch the rest of us do the biggest rappel and that was just fine. A must-do for those who love a bit of adventure and stepping out of your comfort zone in a safe environment. We have Keen type closed toe sandal shoes but opted to wear running shoes with good tread as the rocks are slippery. Happy we did. Also, prepare to get soaked and to hike. Would not be a good fit for those who suffer from knee/ankle problems or for those who are very out of shape.

What an experience! From the start the whole team was welcoming and very clear. They were especially accommodating with our kids, helping them down the waterfalls and even down the giant last one. It was tremendous fun and something the kids will be talking about for a long time! Food afterwards was some of the best we’ve had and a nice communal atmosphere.

It was a lot of fun. The last waterfall was challenging and a couple people in our group of 9 decided not to do it. The entire guide crew was very friendly and very professional. I enjoyed the lunch at the end.

The hike is no joke! It had been raining so don't wear shoes you care about because you can't avoid the mud and I can tell you from experience make sure they are good shoes cause mine came off while Rapelling so I chose not to do the big one at the end but my daughter did and I got to watch her and video it from above. It was an amazing time though and the guide Grey was absolutely wonderful and attentive (especially to me being mama)!! The food at the end was the best we had the whole trip!!!

Grey was our guide and he was amazing! The entire experience was something that was so different that other aip lines etc. rappelling down a waterfall especially #5 is a rush that you dont get with a zip line. Book it and go you wont be disappointed and lunch was great! PURA VIDA!

Great value for the money, guides were fun, and I enjoyed the activity. It was a bit scary only on the final, large waterfall, but everyone was able to do it.

That was amazing! Alex and Arturo were fabulous guides, and of course they let no one drop. My daughters are 15 and 12, and are uber-athletes. This was a great challenge for them (and my husband and me). In Colorado we rock climb and rappel but this was very different. Rocks are dry in CO. They certainly were not here. They're legit in the waterfalls! You will get wet. Closed toed shoes are needed. They have rubber boots that my husband and eldest wore. You'll get puddles in them but they have better grip for this scenario. My trail runners slipped, but I did ok. Each waterfall is unique. The last one really is huge. And gorgeous! My youngest chose not to do the last one because of her being lightweight. Alex advised us that those of us who are..ahem... Not slight... have an easier time due to balance against the rope.
The hike over to the big waterfall was steep and rustic but on the steep parts they have secure ropes to hold.
After we finished the descents, we had a lovely lunch on site at the top of the canyon. We started driving at 9:30 and got back around 2:15 to the hotels. Our group had teens, young adults and parents. Some semblance of athleticism is needed, and a dose of bravery.
It was awesome though! So glad we went.

Alonso and his team were amazing!! The 230ft waterfall is intimidating but they help you so much and make sure you’re safe and ready to go. We loved our experience with them!!

We had an amazing time during our canyoning tour! Our guides Saul and Alex made the tour fun and made us all feel safe. The lunch afterwards was delicious. We would definitely do this tour again.

What an amazing experience!! This was such a memorable experience we’ll be talking about for years to come! The guides were amazing at keeping us safe and making sure that we had a safe, fun and good experience! This is not for the faint of heart, it was a challenge, but worth every single second! I nearly didn’t do the last repel- it’s way up there and most challenging, but after everyone had gone our guide was like …. Are you sure??? You can do it, we’ll help you- and I did it and I’m so grateful he did that! I assure you it wasn’t graceful, but like I said sooo memorable!
Be prepared to get wet- you are going to be drenched and your shoes will be soaked- squishy wet, and not water shoes, tennis shoes, so just know going in.
The farm they take you to is so quaint and the woman cooks your lunch there onsite- it was so good!

Our guides were excellent and made the day so enjoyable, Even used my phone to cature some excellent photos of me in mid rappel, and didn't expect any finnacial gain for doing it. Everything about the day felt safe. The Lunch provided at the end was almost worth the price of the ticket, such delicious home cooked authentic Costa Rican food. I would highly recommend the ABC canyoning company to anyone in the La Fotuna area. If you are thinking about it......Do it! you will not be disappointed.

Awesome guides, very tastey traditional meal from the sweetest lady on their ranch where the tour starts, great adventure highly recommend, great tour the last waterfall repel is amazing , if your an experienced climber, this may be a little under your regular level but still an awesome time! Met great people from Germany and USA on the tour, had a fantastic last day in the jungle .

Wow! This is an incredible adventure from start to finish! You are greeted in town and driven through the jungle to a location high in the mountains. The guides explain all you need to know before you walk to the first of five waterfalls. The falls vary in difficulty, are so pretty and prepare you for the final big one! It was a challenge but so glad I didn’t change my mind do try the 85m waterfall. There is some steep uphill hiking so good to have some fitness to try this out. We finished with a tasty Costa Rican lunch and made new friends. Our guides were so friendly, helpful and patient. Pura Visa!

This was a great experience with great lunch! You do need to be somewhat athletic but overall we had a blast! I will say the only negative is communication could be better. We didn’t hear anything from them until 10pm the night before and that was a little stressful when pickup is at 8am!

Our guide Alex was great, we were a group of 6 and we all really enjoyed the tour! The waterfall rappelling was great and the guides did a great job of helping you along when needed. Lunch afterwards was provided by a local family and it was delicious. You can leave your bags at the restaurant while you go rappel down the waterfalls.

Great excursion, the hike was pretty intense. Hopping down from rock to rock, steeper sections requiring rope and the ability to pull yourself up. We were warned about poisonous snakes along the way and we did find a tiny one. The guides were extremely attentive and made sure we stayed clear. The repelling was amazing. We had a great confidence builder the first 4 waterfalls. The last one was a challenge. 284’ was intense. Overall the guides and travel company were extremely easy to deal with. Made us feel confident and safe 10/10

Great experience with friendly and helpful guides who made you feel safe at all times. Because it was a busy day, our group started with the big 230ft waterfall which was quite daunting. I suspect more of our group would have completed it, if we’d been able to do the smaller, practice ones first. Also, be warned, it is a steep climb back to the top once you’ve rappelled to the bottom! It was an excellent day though and I would definitely recommend.

I booked this experience last minute after another booking I had in advance got canceled, and I’m so glad it did! From the get-go, our driver Marvin was great and pointed out various fauna and their cultural/economic significance. Lunch was local and yum (get the pescado). As for the actual adventure, Alex and Javier were absolute pros who lead the experience with knowledge, safety, and fun attitudes that brought our group together as a team. It’s not always easy being a solo traveler on these group events, but this one is a total win. They even stopped our drive back a coupl times when they spotted a sloth and a red macaw. THIS WAS SO FKN FUN! 10/10 Pura vida!

Amazing day!! Alex and Gray were excellent guides. My husband and I and our 16 yr old daughter and 14 yr old son loved our experience. Great hiking, 4 waterfalls to learn the technique and then a final waterfall to rappel - spectacular. Lunch after was delicious!

Amazing experience and unlike anything I've done before. Scary, yes. But so empowering! Very glad I took the risk and did all 5 waterfalls. I felt very safe the entire time. What an adrenaline rush!

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They picked us up from our hotel no issue. The experience was amazing and I would 100% recommend ABC and this activity. The lunch is also great a home cocked traditional and delicious meal. They even stopped on the way back to show us some wildlife and so we could grab a few things from the store. Just an awesome job all around!!
