Very organized tour. Our guide, Victor, picked us up in Hanoi and stayed with us the entire time, helping with anything we needed. The Vega cruise isn’t 5‑ or 6‑star, but it’s clean, the beds are comfortable, the food is great, and the crew is very friendly. They also offer more activities than other cruises. Afterward, I wanted to visit Dragon Pearl Cave for dinner, and they arranged a private car to take us back to Hanoi.

Ha Long Bay 2 night cruise

We were lucky to have sunny weather as November is the rainy season. Ha Long Bay was beautiful. The thing that people don't realize is you do little to no cruising on the ship that you sleep in. Everything is done through tenders. We did a two-night cruise and the dinners were identical both evenings. Be prepared to get up at the crack of dawn or even a little before that at 6:00 a.m. to participate in the activities. Our tour guide who went by the name of Huie was exceptional and exceeded all expectations. They advertise a balcony but all you get is a sliding glass door that leads out to maybe a two or three inch threshold so that is kind of deceptive. The bathroom is small and when you showered the entire bathroom gets wet as the drain is behind the toilet bowl so prepare for a slippery experience. Breakfast lunch and dinner was always a buffet so nobody was serving you.

I had a wonderful time on this cruise. Quang Quack, our tour operator did an amazing job making sure we had a great time and saw so many amazing things in Ha Long Bay. Food was excellent and ship was very clean.
