Itinerary
Meet your walking tour guide and other “Game of Thrones” fans at the Large Onofrio Fountain near the western entrance to Dubrovnik’s Old Town. You won’t even have to look far for your first ‘Game of Thrones’ filming location; the nearby Pile Gate is your first stop.
Follow your guide outside the City Walls to the twin locations of the Kolorina beach and Dubrovnik West Harbour, where they’ll explain the many scenes that were filmed here. Climb up to Fort Lovrijenac, the mighty fortification used to represent the Red Keep, to learn how it was used for different scenes, including the infamous Purple Wedding.
Finish with a photo opportunity on the famous staircase outside the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola where Cersei did her “Walk of Shame”.

A great way to see the city and learn about where GoT was shot. It’s a little rushed, but if you only have a day in the city, it’s a good way to get an overview and still have time to climb the city walls and do whatever else you’d like. Our tour guide Edi was funny and knowledgeable- we enjoyed him a lot.

Highly recommend if you love game of thrones or you don’t! Beautiful views, but lots of stairs. Some of the group had to stay back. You can listen to the tour or you can take out the headphones and enjoy the views! Our guide was great!

Great tour, even for those who didn't watch GOT. OUR Guide, Joseph, was very nice and shared a lot of info with a friendly style. Only negative was that the description on the Viator site did not warn of the almost 200 steps to the top of the Fort.

This was an amazing experience for hardcore Game of Thrones fans. We visited so many locations for scenes and it was all fantastically beautiful. Our guide (Vodic/John) was like an encyclopedia for Game of Thrones. But I must warn you that there are 200 very steep steps involved to the Red Keep. Don't let it stop you!

We absolutely loved the tour! We are big GOT fans and it was so cool to hear the back stories and history of how a lot of the show was filmed. We felt like we really got the inside scoop and learned a lot of fun facts! Ending in Lokrum was perfect too as by the end of the tour we were getting hungry so we were able to grab lunch before heading back and explore a bit. Quick tip - bring water, a light snack, comfy shoes, and wear a hat. It can get HOT!

Joseph was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about Game of Thrones and its locations but also about Dubrovnik and its history. He was very engaged and had a lot of positive energy. If u purchase the option for Lokrum just be aware that you will still need to purchase the 30 euro boat ride. I was confused when I was told that at the end of the first two hours.

While it focuses on the show, the guide added lots of other comments and kept it all very entertaining and interesting. We had 2 kids with us who had not seen the show yet and both really enjoyed it as well. Completely worth it.
However note that the fortress costs extra, as does the boat to the island if you included that. The Dubrovnik Pass covers the fort so getting it and also walking the walls pays for itself. The tour clearly notes this but people were still surprised. Not the guides fault, but they handled it well.

We had an amazing time on the Dubrovnik Game of Thrones tour, especially the visit to Lokrum Island. Our guide Joe was excellent — very friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout the tour. He shared so many interesting facts not only about Game of Thrones filming locations, but also about the local history and culture of Dubrovnik, which made the experience even more special.
