Highly entertaining tour - great storyteller
This was a really fun tour for our family. Our guide (Dante Death) was a fantastic storyteller and very theatrical. He even handled a heckler that walked past our group cleverly and appropriately for our group that included children. The stories were told with humor and suspense. Overall, it was highly entertaining!

The best way to spend an evening in York
Mad Alice's Bloody Tour was such a great way to spend an evening in York. I came away knowing loads about the city's darker past, and I laughed the entire time. Alice got to know each of us by name and made a real effort to talk with everyone. I couldn't believe how fast it went. Highly recommend!

Guide was fairly...
Guide was fairly knowledgeable about points of historical interest. Took some wonderful (but appropriately short) detours off the itinerary to view other sites of historical significance. Great experience Overall. Mini-coach seats were mostly comfortable but seat belt buckle-socket angles strangely inward and pressed into our hips, which was rather uncomfortable for a long ride.

Spectacular day in the Dales
This was a fantastic tour! We traveled through the Yorkshire Dales and experienced the beauty and majesty the green rolling Hills, the narrow roads, the dry stone walls, the contented sheep and cows. Seeing the various spots where all creatures great and small is filmed was a lot of fun, even though the Town that passes for Darrowby in the series looks very different without some of the show’s changed exteriors.
Our driver and guide, Trevor, was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant, and really made the day worthwhile

Mr Oberon
Excellent 90 mins of trickery, silly jokes , very sharp ad-libs tailored to the children's names etc. My 7yr old grandson loved it. Lots of HP related content. We were a group of about 20, 10 of whom were probably between 5 and 9 and all the children got involved. Saw parts of York centre I've not seen before.
Mr Oberon was excellent, never slipped out of character and led us through the streets like the Pied Piper with a gaggle of children behind him. Would definitely recommend.

Funny, knowlegable and accessible
Had Dan as our guide and had a fantastic time, especially appreciated the jokes and puns. For 2 of our party this was our first time attending a walking tour and we would absolutely book again! Dan was great at considering accessibility for those of us in wheelchairs and was mindful to advise us where dropped curbs were and if the pavement was difficult to navigate. Accessibility can be a big anxiety and Dan took great care of us! Thank you for a fantastic tour!

So much fun and slightly creepy!
This is a fun, informative, and slightly creepy walk through the main areas and alleyways of York. Lou was an amazing storyteller, never stumbling over words or getting lost in the tale. One of the longer ghost tours in town and well worth the money! We even scored a cute crocheted ghostie as a souvenir! Highly recommended for all ages and abilities!

fun with chocolate
If you love chocolate and want to make your own bar with a choice of flavour, then go for it.
Our teacher was knowledgeable and presented the whole process of chocolate making, starting with cocoa pods, in a very accessible way for all ages. It was great fun to make your own chocolate bar, choosing your own flavour, and a range of other treats added into the chocolate to design your own chocolate bar.

First time in a dungeon,...
First time in a dungeon, wasn't really sure what to expect. It was out of the comfort zone booking, but we truly enjoyed.
The performances and entertainment was absolutely amazing, kids aging from 7-14 got really engaged. The show wasn't only entertaining, it was informative too, we learn few new facts on local history.
Great performances, if you enjoy good sense of humour and don't take offence easily, would really recommend..

Excellent walking tour with a fantastic guide
Dave was phenomenal. He had such expert knowledge of the area and took us to places that we would have never found without him. Dave’s knowledge was unmatched and he even gave us options for further travel around England. He is a local who is passionate and cares about creating a realistic experience for visitors. He knows all of the locals, introducing us to them, effectively making us feel part of the community. For those who want to learn about the true history and culture of York, Dave is the person to see.

A captivating and bewitching tour!
A wonderful tour by a very talented witch/actor ! He played his role convincingly and had a tremendous amount of fun doing so. His knowledge of history in this incredibly medieval town was extremely informative. We had a great time watching and enjoying his performance. Thank you, Isaac!

Come Hungry!!
Excellent tour of independent food/drink businesses in York city centre with just the right mix of York history thrown in to the mix. Ben, our guide, took us through an amazing tasting experience of cheese, fish & chips, gin, chocolate, burritos, macarons, tapas, sherry and sticky toffee pudding with beer. All of which in really interesting and historic buildings.
If you like food and drink and history then this is the tour for you. Come hungry though!
