A Memorable Trip
Our tour guide, Bubble, was excellent. He did a great job explaining each site we visited. And he provided wifi and water in his van. He’s very thoughtful in assisting elderly family members while walking, offering suggestions on where we can exchange money without fees, and cracked a few jokes along the way. We enjoyed the trip tremendously.

Wonderful option for 1 day highlight tour with family members of different physical ability & interests. Our guide “Bubble” was great - he adjusted the tour as requested, made great suggestions, and helped us make accommodations for elderly parents. Thank you for a very enjoyable day!

Super
Our stopover stay in Taipei with guide Vincent Hsu was simply outstanding. Vincent explained everything about this wonderful city in a very detailed and entertaining way. You could immediately notice how much passion and knowledge he puts into his tours.
One of the highlights was visiting the observation deck of Taipei 101 on the 89th floor at about 382 meters high – the view over the city was breathtaking. We also enjoyed visiting a traditional temple and exploring the lively night market with its many impressions and local specialties.
Vincent organized and carried out the entire tour absolutely perfectly. Everything was well planned, interesting, and entertaining. Thank you very much, Vincent, for this unforgettable stay in Taipei!

Great trip to Shifen and Jiufen
Roger picked us up at hotel and first stop was Shifen. We released lanterns and it was fun. Next stop was Golden Waterfall. Last stop was Jiufen. We went to Xiahai City God temple first. Roger explained the history of the temple, how to worship the gods by burning ghost money in a furnace - very interesting. We visited the old street and he helped us communicate with all the vendors. The highlight was tea at A-Mei tea house. Roger got us a seat on the edge with a beautiful view. We also went to the old theater. I would recommend this tour especially with Roger.

Carefree Day Trip to Taroko
Having private car tour was totally worth the experience, especially around Taroko with the windy roads and many stops. Our guide James was very prompt, knowledgeable and pleasant the entire trip, and also had many favorite food recommendations (eg hand made mochi). We also lucked out with sunny weather most of the day.

Best day trip ever!
This day trip from Taipei was a great break from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Shifen waterfall was beautiful, and the lantern experience in the old town might be our whole vacation’s highlight! Jiufen was quaint and fantastic. Our guide, Ruth, made the whole trip worth while. She didn’t just recite facts, she offered insight into Taiwanese culture as a whole. She kept us laughing and had fabulous recommendations on food, etc. She was an absolute gem.

Food Tour with Garen!!! Amazing.
You come to Taipei for the culture, the history and the FOOD. You get all three with Garen. Amazing guide who really goes out of her way to give you the best experience possible. She contacts you early to find out your level of food experiences and you level of adventure. She tailors your tour to that. We are adventurous foodies that will try anything. She made sure we had the best time and the best food. From Taiwanese “burritos” to Stinky Tofu (which, by the way, is delicious. She interacts with the vendors like family and really encourages you to as well. She is a wealth of knowledge with regards to the history of Taiwan and its precarious geopolitical role it plays on our planet. Her insight into food and the part it plays in our health and welfare was amazing. The variety of the ten food stops is perfect. You will not be disappointed. Come hungry. We ate well, but Garen made sure the portion sizes were appropriate for the day. You get just the right amount to keep you going and not feel too full. Just right. Come to Taipei for the culture and history. STAY FOR THE FOOD.

The tour was a great...
The tour was a great education into Taipei's landmarks and history. I certainly learned a lot and got some steps in. Vans are comfortable and there are several opportunities to grab souvenirs and food. Definitely take this tour if you have a whole day free.

I would do it again in a heartbeat
Our guide, Kevin, was amazing! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting Taipei. It was nice to get out of the main city and explore the amazing nature of Taiwan. It’s crazy how diverse and flourishing it is in the mountains. Highly recommend!

Northern Taiwan Highlights
If you love nature, this is a great experience. Our driver Nicholas Ying drove us to so many great places to see the waterfalls, the coastline where we saw great rock formations, to the old town where we tasted super delicious Taiwanese lunch and out favorite, the paper lantern launching.. so much more to explore if time permits.

We loved this tour!! If you are interested in tea and where the tea leaves come from, this is the tour to take. We learned a lot from the guide, the museum was small but mighty, and we especially loved the tea tasting at the end. It was nice to know what type of tea tasted like , before buying. We had our 10 year old with us and she said it was kid friendly! She especially liked the peanut tea candies.

Once you’ve had your fill of Taipei’s cosmopolitan cultural scene, the rest of Taiwan and its nine national parks beg to be discovered next. The island’s high-speed trains and sturdy infrastructure make exploration a breeze—but guided Taipei day trips help you overcome the language barrier and any planning-induced stress by arranging all your tickets, tours, and transfers for you—leaving you free to enjoy geological wonders, dramatic gorges, hot springs, and former mining towns that have inspired world-famous Studio Ghibli movies.
