All Shanghai Tours & Excursions in 2026

Shanghai was a new experience, and neither of us spoke English. The English speakers in Shanghai are not numerous, so a guided tour with an English Interpreter was arranged. The tour was great, the interpreter was awesome, the private vehicle moving us around was a blessing, and the price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend. Cathy was a font of information, friendly, helpful, and her English was great. We did other tours in Shanghai, and trust me, English-speaking doesn't always mean English-speaking. I was very pleased.

Emma was an incredible tour guide! She was personable, timely, courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely took each of us and our individual needs into consideration throughout the entire day. Her advice regarding the different entrance options for the Southern Great Wall was especially helpful. She carefully explained what each option involved, including the additional 200–300 steps after the Warrior/Hero’s Slope to reach the top, which allowed us to make an informed decision about the route that was right for us. Our entire day was planned perfectly. After coming down from the Great Wall in the heat, Emma even treated us to ice cream before lunch so we could cool down — such a thoughtful and very welcome surprise! Lunch itself was absolutely amazing. The entire tour was an incredible experience for all three of us. On a personal level, I have difficulty walking, and climbing the Great Wall was a significant challenge for me. With Emma’s guidance, patience, and encouragement, I made it! That is an experience I will never forget. All three of us would wholeheartedly recommend Emma. Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and ability to make the day enjoyable for each of us made this an unforgettable experience in China. We could not have asked for a better guide!

From our morning pickup to our evening drop-off, this was an absolutely amazing experience! We arrived in Shanghai without really knowing exactly what we wanted to see or how best to spend our day, and this tour made everything incredibly easy. From taking in the incredible views from Shanghai Tower, which honestly felt like being on top of the world, to exploring The Bund and wandering through the beautiful French Concession, the whole day was packed with variety and memorable experiences. Ruby was absolutely fantastic as our private guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about every place we visited, spoke excellent English, and was so much fun to spend the day with. She had a great sense of humour and made the whole experience feel relaxed, personal and enjoyable. Travelling by private car was perfect too. Our driver somehow seemed to magically appear whenever we were ready to move on, making it effortless to get around the city and fit so much into one day. Lunch was another highlight, with a delicious selection of local dishes recommended by Ruby. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience a diverse range of Shanghai’s highlights in a short amount of time. It was a fantastic introduction to the city and one of the highlights of our trip!

Very smooth tour facilitated by Kalvin! My mom and I enjoyed his thorough knowledge of the city as we traveled to and from the boat. Boat tour was incredible with fascinating views and a private area to enjoy the scene. The Uyghur food afterwards was an excellent meal!

What a wonderful experience ! Alana is on top of the organisation w clear communication with whatsapp. The driver shows up on time. Then I had two wonderful guides - Ling for Yu garden and yuyuan market & Queeni for French Consession & the bund. They were knowledgeable, thorough, and eager to share facts about the places. Fluent in English they made for excéllent guides for this fantastic trip. Very convenient - roughly 5 hours with stops, visits, & driving to/from hotel. I recommend this STRONGLY!!! What an awesome tour!

Our private tour of Zhujiajiao Water Town and Shanghai was the highlight of our trip, and that's thanks to our guide, Blair. She was amazing from start to finish. She even played hide and seek with our son, which made him feel like he had a new friend for the day. Blair picked a fantastic spot for lunch, and she was totally flexible all day, adjusting the pace to what worked for our family. We saw so much and never felt rushed. Caroline was an absolute dream! From the very first moment, she welcomed us so warmly and made us feel incredibly comfortable. This honestly became one of the most beautiful and memorable days of our entire trip. She is an absolute professional and somehow always knew exactly where to go, where to stand and how to take the perfect photos. Some of the most beautiful pictures from our entire journey were taken with Caroline, and we will keep those memories forever. A very funny and sweet surprise: we are Iranian, and Caroline even knew a little Persian! That made the experience even more special and showed us once again how much knowledge, passion and personality she brings to her tours. We loved everything about the day – especially the rickshaw ride, the beautiful boat ride, the food and all the little moments in between. Everything was organized so smoothly that we could simply relax and enjoy the experience. For the price, this tour is an absolute must-do. Caroline is genuinely one of the best tour guides I have ever had, and I have done many tours around the world. We would recommend her again and again without hesitation. The tour overall is nice, The walk around the old city and the shopping area is beautiful. The waiting time to get in the cruise was longer than expected as it was busy day but as soon I got in the cruise the view was incredible beautiful 10/10 I highly recommend this tour. The guide tour person in charge was also nice, professional and knowledgeable.
