Do not miss this experience!
Seeing the glow worm caves was the top of our list for our weekend in Rotorua and this tour did not disappoint! There were 2 families with children aged 10 to 23 and everyone loved this experience. Our guide, Kesha, was knowledgable and engaging. The kayaks were easy to maneuver, with the guide pulling us into the caves. The night sky was perfect so we could easily see the Milky Way and the Southern Cross. Each cave was more spectacular that the one prior. We worried about being cold because it was the fall but wetsuits, booties, and jackets were available to all participants. We all highly recommend this tour!

Fun experience! Something...
Fun experience! Something worth doing with the family! Note that there is about a 10 minute walk including 6 flights of stairs in the beginning. But it’s all downhill from there in the best possible way! Maybe don’t have a big meal before this experience.

Delightful
There is a lot of walking, some of it uphill, otherwise, it is such a worthwhile tour, and we were absolutely delighted. We took the tours that included lunch, which said it was at the green dragon, but really it was in a tent next to the green dragon. Nevertheless, the food was excellent and definitely worth the money we spent. As we were there in the shoulder season before they close? Some of the adult T-shirts were no longer available at Coast. We couldn’t find any coasters that didn’t that didn’t have mugs attached to them and we really didn’t need any more mugs. We were very happy with the tour and would recommend it.

A Night of Culture, Feast, and Nature at Te Puia
Te Puia’s Te Pō Indigenous Evening Experience is a must-do in Rotorua. The evening starts with dinner, so you’re not left hungry. The buffet is massive—definitely arrive ready to eat! Afterward, you’re immersed in Māori culture, with village experiences, haka performances, and a chance to see the geyser. It’s a full evening that gives you culture, food, and natural wonders all in one go. Don’t miss it!
