Top Port Douglas Snorkeling

It's a lovely day out on the water. Make sure to get your coffee or tea before the boat leaves the dock then sit back and relax, it's a bit of a ride to the first stop. Lunch was great, simple but hardy. My only pick is that during the 3rd swim the guy who was supposed to be watching the snorkelers on the upper deck was on his phone. Thankfully, there were others watching as well.

We booked this tour because we were a family group of various ages and ability, including a young toddler. The fact that we had options to either see the ocean life by glass bottom boat or snorkeling suited each of us. The crew were fantastic. They looked after us all and explained everything clearly. They had good knowledge of the coral reef and it's inhabitants. We saw several turtles and reef sharks from the glass bottomed boat. Those that chose to snorkel were less fortunate but still saw enough variety of fish to make it a worthwhile adventure. The low tide that afternoon made conditions slightly murkier than the usually crystal clear waters. You just have to accept nature as it presents itself to you. We all came away having had a lovely afternoon in and on the sea at the Low Isles.

We went with our two year old. The staff was amazing so attentive even getting me a drink and making me lunch whilst my toddler slept on me. They were so helpful checking times for different activities and ensuring you get to experience everything you wanted to. Even with a 2 year old in tow we were able to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. Go through the underwater tunnel, ride in the submarine and also take a lovely 10 minute helicopter ride to see the Great Barrier Reef from the sky. Absolutely unbelievable and well worth the extra money. Lunch was really delicious too and everything is so well thought out. If you’re visiting port Douglas it’s worth every penny.

The Great Barrier Reef was a long time bucket list item for me and my husband. The team at ABC brought that dream to life with their exceptional service, attentiveness, and overall hospitality. We were able to add a hotel pic up/ drop off which allowed for us to travel there worry free with our exceptional driver and guide from the boat crew. What truly made this trip stand out was the staff: guest ratio- it was almost 1:1! In addition, our snorkels were lead by a marine biologist who took care throughout the time in the water to point out things to see down below and explain the sea life we were seeing. My husband had recently had surgery and every staff member on the boat knew to keep an extra eye on him in the water. Instead of just giving us gear, staff made sure we were all meticulously outfitted and comfortable before entering the water. The boat was only 4 months old - large and spotless- with plenty of room for all. Bottom line, if I could give ABC a 6 out of 5 stars I would and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I know seeking to fulfill a bucket list snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef. It was a perfect day because of the ABC crew!

The catamaran ventures from the harbour and then sails in whichever direction the wind takes you. Drinks and canapes are served whilst underway which makes for a very enjoyable experience. The forward area of the boat has seating areas and two over water trampolines if you want to get closer to the waves. The captain and crew are all very professional and easy going. We really enjoyed the sunset cruise experience

We absolutely loved our 1 hour Daintree River crocodile cruise! Our guide Bruce was very knowledgeable, funny, and clearly passionate about the wildlife and ecosystem, making the whole experience both educational and entertaining. We spotted several crocodiles (including a few big ones!) and plenty of birdlife, all while learning fascinating facts about their behavior and habitat. The boat was comfortable and safe, with plenty of great photo opportunities along the way. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, an unforgettable glimpse into the wild beauty of the Daintree. Highly recommend this tour for families, couples, or anyone who wants to experience nature up close in a respectful and sustainable way!

We enjoyed this experience, we’ve done the outer reef before having children which is also beautiful but we found this experience really suitable to take our one year old. The crew were great, nice food and the environment was nice and relaxed. We were a bit worried what it would be like out on the island but there were shaded areas and swimming in the shallows off the island was good for the little one.
