Among the Douro wine villages, you’ll find the remains of Romanesque churches, 17th century palaces; traditions and handicrafts and well-established wine estates (quintas). Plus some incredible scenery. Favaios is known for its fortified moscatel wine, which is lighter and often more refreshing than port wine and it's also known due to their traditional bakeries.
